Posted on 10/22/2011 10:03:47 AM PDT by TheMom
Trying to host a live thread for our "Smart Phones".
Heh, it's late, and I keep nodding off between posts. So writing "hoards" for "hordes" is not so bad. :)
Coolest shooting/firearm picture .. so far. DollyCali hasn't posted her stuff yet.
That’s a 9mm Sterling submachinegun that LUV W is shooting courtesy of mylife, IIRC
That was a wee bit of rain we had here about 0200, iwas on the 2nd floor of three and man did it pour! Mesquite Metro Airport is reporting 1.5” from 2 to 3 AM.
Will be launching out of Mesquite here in a few minutes for the journey back home
Thanks for the pictures. Wish I could have been there.
Wish you could have, too! I would love to meet another great Texas FReeper!
I thought that's what it looked like, but with a longer than standard barrel.
Dang, I would have liked to shoot it myself, and I had plenty of 9mm to feed it.
So how many freepheads showed up?
Seventeen or so, with a smattering of spouses and kids.
It was awesome fun! As usual. :-)
There were about 22-24 give or take a couple....great group of people!
It’s a wonder Texas could hold them all.
Sounds like a great time was had by all.
Oh, Texas can expand for gun-loving FReepers! :)
He was a vewwy bad boy! ;)
Thanks for the great weekend y’all
Made it back to Kansas City about 5 this afternoon with no issues.
Good to hear. Thanks so much for the Occupy sticker. It’s awesome!
We are finally home and unpacked.
Thanks for a wonderful weekend!
Thanks for checking in. It was really great that you could be here with us again!
Hope to see ya again next year...wherever that might be!
Glad y’all got home safely and it was wonderful to visit with all of you once more.
On to next year!
Great shooting chair.
That is what it looks like when a 260 pound beast sits in a pink chair!
I thought that was the name of a convenience store.
Thanks so much for the bumper sticker!
Some nice guys and a young 'en shooting.
Enjoying some awesome food.
Ester looks like she is checking her pulse.
The best FReeper of the bunch!
What a bunch of dang ‘ol rednecks!
yeah...yeah...I know you guyz posted all those nice pictures to just torture those who couldn’t make it ;~}
sounds like so much fun.
FWIW, I punched the trip computer as I left the motel Sun AM, when I got home it read
8.5 hrs...561.7 miles...29.3 gals of gas used and 19.1 avg MPG
I left about 6:30am and made it home right at 5pm, that included filling the truck up (twice), a nice breakfast at a Cracker Barrel on 35E and a lunch stop just before I left Oklahoma. Not to mention several stops at the used coffee depository:-) I can make the trip on one tank of gas even!
I had no traffic issues until I got about 20 miles from home and ran into some road construction but the delay was very slight.
Well we will have to see how next year TCMS works out, should have some more bumper stickers maybe even.
This is an amazing pix. Wonderful photography. (Lauren?)
Another GREAT photo. Mine are quite shabby in comparison
LOL - Steve got to be in that hammock for what....about 60 seconds?
Oh, I drank at least two for ya!
Thanks to TheMom for the great pic.s, nicely done.
I enjoyed the shoot, the food, and the fellowship of fantastic FReepers. I was saddened when I had to leave a little early, but I do want to thank mylife for unlocking the gate for me.
Anyone who missed this shoot missed out on a lot of fun and good times, so make plans now to attend the next one if at all possible.
Super! The men just get better looking and the ladies prettier. TC must have had a great time this weekend. (((HUGS))) to all y’all.
I was glad to see you there, my friend.
It always makes me happy to see good patriotic people with
awesome firepower blast the holy crap out of targets. And things.
Makes me feel better about the state of the country, it does.
You may post any here you wish. I don't know why some are sideways ... they were NOT in the program I used during editing. I will see if there is a way to rotate in FB.
I am using my HP Notebook rather than iMac which is at home (currently I am in OK)
The pix are on Facebook but I have them noted for PUBLIC viewing. Please tag yourself wherever you wish if you are a FB member. Remove the tags I put on you if you dont like them.
A few notes. Lauren... I included a few pix of you that I thought were really good. did NOT ID you. I know you did not want to be in ... same with NYTexan. If you are in them you are rather blended in a crowd. There are a few pix of Abby. NO names were used on FB. She was my hero that day.. truly. What a sweetheart
As always, people are welcome to use my pix where they wish.. HOWEVER if a Pulitzer ever is involved, my name better be on it!!!!
My sincere thanks for inviting me to participate. I wanted to for so many years & finally there & not really up to par. thanks to MyLife for making all the "range arrangements". What a nice facility for our event.
Thanks to NYTexan for his kind considerations all the way around. Good old southern hospitality from a Buffalo Yankee! LOVE IT.
The wonderful chef! cpdiii and his High school buddy who was his first assistant. Thanks so much for the great work & contribution you made with the food. Even though I didn't eat the meat FReeper pups Josy & Toby appreciated your giving them a hunk of meat! Maybe made up a little for the boom booms they truly did NOT LIKE
so many more.. great margaritas TheMom... Water truly appreciated Ester...great conversation with all.
It is never a disappointing things to get together with patriots, is it?
LOL - from what I could tell, you, Eaker, mylife, and stevie_d_64 had all the heavy stuff - I can only dream about having that kind of arsenal.
When stevie_d_64 fired his 50 cal., I thought someone had set off a can of tannerite right behind me, lol, - that sucker was LOUD, heheh.
It was a real pleasure to meet all y’all.
I’ve got to tell ya that Barret is arousing me...
Hap and I really wanted to be there. Looks like y’all had a great time!
You & your pig candy and chicken fried bacon came up in the conversation more than once.
True story, you were not forgotten!
Those misfits? Pshaw!
Bunch of gun-clingin' rednecks, I'll tell you what! ;-)
The whole house smelled like Hoppe’s Sunday while I cleaned that piece of artillery...
I think that may have brought the Texans a little bit of luck in that game yesterday...
Who knows...I may have to break it out (and clean it) every weekend...
More like about 30 seconds before I was badgered out of it...
You remember those pesky badgers don’t ya???
Something about mushrooms and
Glad to have had hosted this event with the help of my FRiends!
Having been born in Texas...it comes naturally!
