Rick Perry: We are fed up with being overtaxed and overregulated. We are tired of being told how much salt we can put on our food, what windows we can buy for our house, what kinds of cars we can drive, what kinds of guns we can own, what kinds of prayers we are allowed to say and where we can say them, what political speech we are allowed to use to elect candidates, what kind of energy we can use, what kind of food we can grow, what doctor we can see, and countless other restrictions on our right to live as we see fit.
I understand the sentiment and feel much the same way but with regard to language and nuance Perry is politically tone deaf. I so much wanted to like and get behind him too -In a way he’s been more of a disappointment than Sarah deciding not to run.
IF you'd rather NOT be pinged FReepmail me.
IF you'd like to be added FReepmail me. Thanks.

So this hunt was a political stunt. Fighures. Why invite press to go hunting with you. I despise this guy so much. The biggest fraud I have ever seen. Obama romney and Ricardo are the same.
Maybe he should try having a long, long love affair with his wife. Last time we saw her, she wasn’t lookin’ too steady.
as a Cain supporter I’m sure nobody would fight harder to protect our 2nd ammendment rights than Gov. Perry and the difference between him and other candidates who pretend they are hunters is he isn’t pretending.. I love hunting too... good for him pheasant hunting in Iowa
I await the day when MSNBC titles an article
“ Obama describes his long love affair with Reggie. “
When asked about today’s Iowa State match up
with Texas A&M Perry said
“I’m for the Aggies. I don’t get confused about who I’m for,” he declared to reporters.
“I’m not going to be one of those people who roll into Iowa
and say, ‘Oh I’m for the Cyclones,
because I’m runnin’ for office.
People see through that pretty good.”
This wasn’t a photo op.
Perry hunts and shoots about as much as others play golf. It was opportunity for him to hunt pheasant(yumm)and I would have been shocked if he had turned it down.

Iowa's Christian Conservatives Gather Tonight to Hear GOP Candidates
His wife may want to tuck them away after the next series of polling comes out.
I love guns too, in the hands of bonafide American citizens. Unfortunately, that’s not quite the reality here in Rick Perryland where you can simultaneously be illegal to be here, be armed in a sanctuary city and have in state tuition waiting for you.
Thanks for the post, CW. I had read about their hunting trip earlier today but had not seen a picture of that yet. It was nice to see a picture of Governor Perry and Representative King. When you look at that picture, you can them both as just plain ‘ole real people. Wouldn’t see Obama out there looking so real, would you?
Rick Perry-—tuff enuff on guns and the Second Amendment
Rick Perry —— NOT tough enough on protecting us via a border fence, not tough enough on illegal immigration, instate college tuition for illegal alien students is a cynical vote getter
I’ll vote for him but he better wise up and stop being lazy about issues that are serious for Americans. Such as borders and national sovereignty
- Do you support the 2nd Amendment, as written?
- Should the sale/posession/carry of fire arms be regulated at the state level, at all, and therefore be different from state to state?
- Do you have a conceal carry permit, and if so do you believe requiring such a permit is Constitutional, or a "states rights" issue?
- If you believe a conceal carry permit is a "states rights" issue, can states require women and non-whites to obtain a permit to vote?
- Do you personally exercise the 2nd Amendment, and if so, give us a sampling of what you own.
Most candidates would likely fail miserably.
