How easy do you find it to look at revolting images such as a man eating worms?
If the answer is 'difficult', it might offer an insight into your politics.
Scientists at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln showed 50 volunteers a series of 38 disgusting images - including one of a man eating worms (the actual image is pictured, right).
Others included an incredibly emaciated body, a bloody wound and an open sore with maggots in it, as well as human excrement floating in a toilet.
The researchers then measured the electrical 'disgust' response in the skin of their 50 volunteers.
When people are disgusted, their reaction causes a measurable change in the electrical conductivity in their skin.
It's a 'disgust' response that cannot lie.

Goes a long way toward explaining the environment at the OWS mob sites vs. TEA party rallies.

It's understandable that Liberals can look at such images more easily then conservatives.
After all, Liberals have built up their resistance by looking into the mirror every morning.
That probably disgusted the OWS crowd. They're more accustomed to seeing it on front stoops and police cars.
It is logical.
Liberals write this kind of stuff, watch this kind of stuff, revel in this kind of stuff.
And eat this kind of stuff.
And we must remember that they are what they eat.
Disgusted yet?
Disgusted yet?
A sample size of 50 is absolutely irrelevant.
How many federal dollars were flushed down the toilet on this important piece of research?
Liberals are just deviant. I’m pretty sure tubgirl is not a conservative.
...but yeah, sample size notwithstanding, the conclusion probably is accurate. If liberals aren’t squeamish at the thought of late-term abortion, nothing will bother them.
Plus, they are used to sleeping with hairy, smelly, ugly liberal women.
This looks like a good bet.
It would seem that nothing disgusts the left except cutting down on entitlements.
My guess is they are desensitized because they watch more violent/disgusting stuff. Libertarians tend to have a pretty high tolerance too.
Yeah, I would be disgusted stomping around and eating in a place covered in pee and poop.
*SNORT*!!!
Liberals want that to get an NEA grant and call it art.
One of the few channels I get on TV has been showing horror movies for the last week. I have always sort of liked horror/sci-fi movies but every time I try to watch one of these, I get absolutely disgusted by the amount of gore.
What happened to the likes of “Dracula” with Bela Lugosi, or “Forbidden Planet” with the gorgeous Anne Francis?
I think all these modern ones are by the same author, Stephen King, tho he probably isn’t as much to blame as the makers. I would never let my kids watch such garbage and I think my Daughter is not letting my Grand kids watch it.
Stop it! I am becoming squeamish. LOL.
I like these loaded studies by liberals that always try to put conservatives in a negative light.
When it comes right down to it, what separates us from them is that liberals are “girly-men surrender monkeys” who can’t sustain civilization. Where ever Leftism is dominant, decay sets in. Their very freedom is only possible by our stalwart defense of the nation. They are selfish ingrates who are too weak to take care of themselves.
This study doesn’t surprise me. Show a picture of an aborted baby... ask a conservative to describe it. They would use terms like “sad, baby, murder, loss of life etc”. Ask a liberal and they would say, “choice, product of conception, right”. Conservatives have more humanity, sympathy, and empathy towards many subjects...
: )
Gee, leftists are drawn to things normal people consider repellent. Whoda thunk it?
