La Raza Ricky is a Lone Wolf——he disdains working in concert with other politicians——his vainglorious sense of himself can’t stand the competition.

WRT debates-——he can’t handle the questions, and the vetting of his Texas record shows him in a very bad ligh.

Very few politicans have displayed Perry’s total ignorance——and his terrified “deer in the headlights” look as he stumbled through the debates.

This coward is copping out of future debates b/c he can’t control his disdain and contempt for voters.

And if I ever find out he sucked up to Mexico by telling these foreigners he thought Americans were “heartless”....in my book, that would be grounds for treason.

[Eisenhower] didn't do anything. He didn't mess it up. Just let things go, let things happen, unlike the meddling that we've got every day from this bunch, who can't leave well enough alone.

And I’ll promise you this: I’ll work every day to make Washington, D.C. as inconsequential in your life as I can.

Thanks for the post, I was unable to listen today.

One one thing, I think he made a misleading remark...I don’t think there’s a pay for view (unless you are there in person) for the Cain-Gingrich debate.

But they are defintiely not doing business as usual...don’t ya jut love it???? :-)

I would only comment that Rush severely understated Eisenhower’s capabilities. He managed things quietly and made it look easy. In handling the press he made his less than smooth speech pattern and verbal stumbles a strength by answering gotcha questions (yes, they had those in the 50’s, too) with such convoluted, complex, and sometimes internally contradictory replies that the questioner was left with nothing and usually unable to remember what he had asked or why. Nixon was pretty good at it too, except that with him you could observe the gears working as his eyes ticked back and forth during the reply. Made him seem conniving and, well, “Tricky” (not to say he wasn’t both).

If the conservative electorate is serious and smart, it will choose the candidate for the General Election whose personal authenticity, deeply-held principles, and ability to articulate those principles is instant and can be stated with authority!

The person who can meet those criteria will win the hearts of that silent voting majority who will determine whether future generations of Americans will live under the tyranny of men or under the sovereignty of their written Constitution of laws.

In a series of debates, the candidate described above will unmask his/her "progressive" opponent and reveal the counterfeit idea base which dominates and motivates that opponent's every policy and action to enslave citizens under the rule of big government. No one can win such a debate except a person of deeply-held faith, passion for liberty, and understanding of America's founding principles.

The liberty of future generations will be held in the hands of voters in the upcoming primaries.

May that Divine Providence who guided the formation of this place of ordered liberty shed light in this time of of decision.

It least Rush is smart enough to see there are positives in either candidate and they both would be a major improvement over the current administration- unlike some here who seem to have a religious duty to destroy one or the other.

This is just sickening to watch, which is why I am going elsewhere these days.

All this nasty rhetoric and attacks from these so called “Conservatives”, the Left is turning it around to their advantage. Little do the hate crowd realize, the effect it has had has put Obama into a comfortable lead recently, against all GOP candidates. National Poll averages show Obama with a 5 to 7 point lead over all of them.

Considering Obama’s massive campaign war chest, here we go again, the “Conservatives” who fancy themselves as the “base” are fueling our own destruction and defeat. And the Democrats are eternally grateful, you can be sure. Read the following and Weep! And this childish stupitidy just keeps on getting worse! http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2012/president/president_obama_vs_republican_candidates.html

I agree. I think that is one reason why the media has scheduled 18 debates over the next 14 weeks. Can you imagine George Foreman having to fight Joe Frazier one to two times a week for fourteen weeks and then get thrown in the ring with Ali? They want our candidates beat down and every weakness exposed as much as possible..
..and we are playing along.

Nearly 11 years as Governor of the State of Texas makes your first point a lie. (Not to mention his years as head of the Republican Governors.)

Texas’ success in spite of taking in 1000 US citizens every day who are escaping from OZ is enough proof against your second.

As to the third, how often have you stepped out of your comfort zone — much less done something you hate in front of the Nation and the world?

As to the penultimate and final accusations, you’re talking about the speculation.

Ricardo "Neutrino" Perry, August 13, 2011.

That's good, he certainly is working to make himself as inconsequential in my life as he can. He's even dropping out of the debates.

Too bad he forgot that he's not in DC yet.

Moral for Mr. Kitty-Whipped: don't count your wife's promised electoral votes before they hatch.

Cheers!

Well, even though he is a smoker, Mark Block is doing a heck of a job for Herman Cain. Of course, so is Herman Cain doing a heck of a job just being Herman Cain!

As for Perry, if you can’t think on your feet, you cannot think on your seat! Debates show what one is made of as nothing else does. It takes a quick mind, a solid background, a statesman demeanor, including self control and substance to do well in a debate - all the ingredients it takes to make a good president. Go, Herman Cain!

Incidentally, the first presidential campaign I worked on was for Dwight Eisenhower. He was very articulate, calm and masterful. We volunteers all got to meet him personally when he was in our city. He had never run for office, he was not a politician, but Ike managed to be a good presidentanyway. He managed his troops and the problems they faced in war very well, just as Herman Caine managed his thousands of employees, and cleared up the problems any company he headeed up and put them in the black.

Not a fan of Perry, but he could truly reply. OK, here we are on the border of a country we are trying to prop up, but which is descending into a new Afghanistan. We are being inundated by millions of Mexicans et al. who are fleeing from the turmoil, and by the way there are millions of others just passing through. The federal government is doing almost nothing to discourage this, and in fact is telling us, feed, clothe , house schools and medically treat these guys, And Oh, yes we will pick up 10% of the cost. Meanwhile we have managed to keep our economy afloat and in fact have picked up a lot of new businesses in a seesaw economy for the past fifteen years. So, if you think you can do better, have at it!
