I watched most of the Rick Perry segment on FNS, and at least twice he referred to himself as tough on immigration. Now since I can still remember that Rick Perry looked directly through a TV camera and told me personally that I don't have a heart because I don't agree with his policy of spending Texas money to subsidize illegal aliens tuition at Texas colleges, I wonder what he considers soft on immigration.

Maybe if he repeats that tough on immigration line often enough, he will start to believe it. It almost sounds like "Compassionate Conservative", where if you have to put an adjective in front of it to say you are one, you ain't.
