Why should people have fire extinguishers when we have firefighters and the fire department?

Yes the Cops are people with all their talents and faults, most are good and some are bad, that is why to answer the question.

"MSNBC Host: Why Should People Have Guns When We Have Cops"

I can answer because they are human and could be bad, like the sheriff in Texas whom the Texas Chainsaw murders were based on.

More evidence that the liberal thought process is very similar to that of a 10 year old girl.

During an interview with Sheriff Wright today, Melvin suggested law enforcement should be the only necessary protection for women and society against criminals.
I can't figure out if Melvin is channeling his inner Himmler or Reno.

Germans who wish to use firearms should join the SS or the SA — ordinary citizens don't need guns, as their having guns doesn't serve the State. Heinrich Himmler

Waiting periods are only a step. Registration is only a step. The prohibition of private firearms is the goal. Janet Reno

Hey, spawn44, check out the Janet Reno quote above and consider her goal in light of the aspects of the Hegelian Dialectic of achieving a goal.
What "problem" could be created to garner a "solution" sufficient to achieve that "goal"?

Sheriff, if law enforcement is charged with protecting the public, then, then, then why should that not be sufficient? Why should folks have to go out and get guns and arm themselves if we've got cops?

Seriously, though, Sheriff Wright should have simply stated that "Police Have No Duty To Protect Individuals" and Mr. Wedgie (Melvin) was dumb as dirt for even asking such a stupid question.

Thanks Kaslin. The Occupuds have been attacking the cops, and hold up signs about killing cops. Yeah, that would make us all a lot safer.

What do we need cops for if we just go down and beat all the Occupuds to death with steel pipes, pile up the carcasses, and incinerate the pile in a smoky fire that creates a lot of CO2. And releases untold amounts of B.O.

The partisan media shills on MSDNC's Morning Jackoffs had text on the screen (I was exercising with earbuds) for at least three minutes, saying that the must-read op-ed was NYTimes' latest shrill shilling for class warfare. Meanwhile, the past couple of days of the Post:
