I think it speaks to character. Same as with Bill Clinton, what a person does in their private life indicates their character.
I don’t like people who don’t honor their commitments and oaths.
He took an oath (marriage). He would take a oath to defend the constitution (office).
Does he just follow his oaths when it benefits him, and what happens when the going gets tough?
If a man can’t handle his personal life, he has no business trying to run the country.
Ronald Reagan was divorced. You can’t disqualify someone because they’ve had problems in their personal lives. I’m not holding Newt up to be some savior, but he’s a competent leader, is conservative, and has the potential - I think - to be a good president.
