Navy Seals speak out: How we killed 'Bert' Laden (sic - despise Dumb0 for leaking...)
Daily Telegraph (Oz) ^ | 11/06/2011 | News Com

US NAVY Seals have revealed for the first time that they killed Osama Bin Laden within 90 seconds of entering his fortress-like home in Pakistan.

The men who killed the al-Qaeda chief have decided to speak out because they are tired of their "shabby treatment" by politicians who claim they were on a "kill mission".

They insisted there was no lengthy gun-fight in the compound and claimed they would have captured Bin Laden if he had surrendered, The Sunday Times in the UK reports (behind a paywall).

They were not on a "kill mission", they said, and fired only 12 bullets in the entire operation.

The details of the mission, which was codenamed Operation Neptune’s Spear, are revealed in a book by the Seals' former commander, Chuck Pfarrer.

"I've been a Seal for 30 years and I never heard the words 'kill mission'. It's a fantasy word. If it was a kill mission you don’t need Seal Team 6; you need a box of hand grenades."

He said the men were angry with President Barack Obama for announcing Bin Laden’s death on TV just hours after they completed the mission on May 1.

"There isn't a politician in the world who could resist trying to take credit for getting Bin Laden but it devalued the 'intel' and gave time for every other Al-Qaeda leader to scurry to another bolthole," he said.

"The men who did this and their valorous act deserve better. It's a pretty shabby way to treat these guys."

Pfarrer's books also reveals that the Seals' nickname for Bin Laden and his deputy Ayman al-Zawahiri were Bert and Ernie, after the two Muppets in Sesame Street.

When they were first told they were going to Pakistan to pick up a high-value person who was holed up in high-walled compound, they asked: "So is this Bert or Ernie?"

Pfarrer said the squad's nickname was Jedi.

His account of the mission makes for terrifying reading. Here is an extract from The Sunday Times report, detailing the death of Bin Laden:

Bin Laden’s bedroom was along a short hall. The door opened; he popped out and then slammed the door shut. “Geronimo, Geronimo, Geronimo,” radioed one Seal, meaning “eyes on target”.

Two Seals kicked in Bin Laden’s door. The room, they later recalled, "smelt like old clothing, like a guest bedroom in a grandmother’s house". Inside was the al-Qaeda leader and his youngest wife, Amal, who was screaming as he pushed her in front of him.

"No, no, don’t do this!” she shouted as her husband reached across the king-size bed for his AK-47 assault rifle. The Seals reacted instantly, firing in the same second. One round thudded into the mattress. The other, aimed at Bin Laden’s head, grazed Amal in the calf. As his hand reached for the gun, they each fired again: one shot hit his breastbone, the other his skull, killing him instantly and blowing out the back of his head.

I do believe that it was "Plugs" Biden who first leaked the name, but Dumb or Dumber, who cares... SCOAMF both of them.

Our Navy Seals are the best in the world and need to be treated as the best. Their CIC doesn’t know the first thing about them and needs to stay away from them. If he had to go through their training he would ring the bell the first day and quit. He is totally useless and I hope our Military commanders shut him down if they don’t agree with any of his actions.

These are better men than I ever was, even in my youthful prime, and they deserve a better CIC than we gave them.

Far be it from me to suggest that a SEAL might need more time at the range, but still ...

But...but...but Barry couldn’t wait to spike the ball and do his end zone victory dance for his toadies in his MSM. The state run “media” called this one of Barry’s “greatest victories”. (Although he was sitting on his ass in the White House at the time that it occurred.)

Why would they assume that the KiC cares about them?

Being white is enough reason for his hatred.

That is all.

Oh, great job!

“The men who killed the al-Qaeda chief have decided to speak out because they are tired of their “shabby treatment” by politicians who claim they were on a ‘kill mission’.

With all due respect for this Navy Seal's service, I call BS.

Honorable men can and do engage in deception under extraordinary circumstances.

Yes, Obama stupidly ran to the cameras to declare that the US had committed what the ACLU and the World Court in the Hague (falsely) consider a “war crime.”

Now, when the forgoing are preparing to charge Obama and the Seals with Bin Laden’s family as plaintiffs, all of a sudden we have this Seal changing the narrative drastically to exculpate both Obama and the Seals from a “war crime” (which it never was, but tell the ACLU and The Hague).

The Obama/Pentagon narrative was based, supposedly, on Obama and the crowd in the tank witnessing the events real-time on Seal head-cam video!

The new narrative of Bin Laden being killed in 90 seconds cannot be reconciled with the previous accounts reported by virtual witnesses to the attack, including Obama.

Even thought the new narrative by this Seal Commander insults Obama, Obama and the Commander both conveniently get a “get out of jail free” card, if this will be his testimony in court and the Obama Administration suppresses access to what actually happened “for national security” reasons.

The claim that Seals do not perform "kill missions" is also a giant red flag...and not to be believed...but also is exculpatory for Obama and the Seals.

I am puzzled. If he managed to shut the door in time, wouldn’t he have already got the gun in his hand instead of reaching out for it after the SEALs saw him again?

It’s quite a leap from community organizer to Commando-in-Chief, but Barak Hussein Obama, mmm mmm mmmm, did it.

There was already bad blood between ObaMugabe and the SEALs —remember the yacht stand-off, with those 5 American civvies who got zapped? POTUS orders were no shoot, but as time wore on and on and the situation devolved the local commander just told them to shoot, which they did.

THAT is why The Gay Muzzie POTUS ordered prosecution of those SEALs who supposedly punched that prisoner in the face after arrest about 1.5 years ago.

The irony is that the scant source of political credit that The Gay Muzzie POTUS is claiming is actually earned by people hated and legally prosecuted by him.

Can u imagine being a SEAL now?

Never b4 have the SEALs been so direly needed and never b4 have we had such a less qualified and less trustworthy POTUS.

“The other, aimed at Bin Laden’s head, grazed Amal in the calf.”

Let's see, Amal was doing cartwheels across the room to block the shot?

Or...when the Seal burst into the room he went prone and firing up at Bin Laden.

Or maybe the Seal tripped on the way in, fell face down on the deck and that is where he found himself taking the shot.

Or maybe they made up the whole “attempted to grab the AK-47” thing to make it seem like self-defense to get Obama and the Seals off the hook!

Until and unless the Seal head-cam video/audio is released, we will not know (after it is forensically examined for doctoring, of course).

I agree. That right there is suspicious. The original narrative of the helicopter crashing in the compound at the very beginning of the engagement would also have given Bin Laden time to grab a weapon.

By reducing the time-to-the-kill to 90 seconds and BEFORE the helicopter crash they allow for a claim that Bin Laden had not yet grabbed his gun to be more credible.

I'm guessing Osama was prone on a mattress on the floor, she was standing, her calf in front of his head.
