Someone from Business Insider observes:

Whether you see her as the ultimate vindicator of women wronged by high-powered male megalomaniacs, or a glorified ambulance chaser in heels (or a little bit of both) it is hard to deny that she is the patron saint of bad news cycles — everything she touches turns to tabloid gold.

The entire political press corps is pinning their hopes on Allred to come through with the salacious details that will finally put a pin in the Herman Cain bubble. In fact, Allred doesn’t actually need to say anything. Her mere association with this scandal will create the media sensation that has been the left’s plan all along...

Where is our side on this? I mean, Allred costs $$$, so who is picking up her tab? Our side better be bold enough at the presser to ask, “Hey, please tell us who is paying for your story and your legal tab?”.

Do you know the metaphorical meaning of ‘harpy’? A nasty or annoying woman. You accuse me of believing that about all women? You’re practicing what you accuse me of. No, I do consider those in in the Perry camp (the women especially because they’re the most obnoxious about it) of being harpies. Yes. I do. It’s the way they come across. But that’s it. If it walks like a duck...

No one would have believe Joe Paterno would have covered up for a predatory pedophile a few days ago either.

Listen, you slimy back stabb'en POS, if you have evidence that Joe PA covered up for sandusky, bring it out if not STFU.

That you are so willing to knowingly lie about Conservatives in the vain hope it helps your GOP Establishment candidate, tells us all we need to know about your personality.

How about you bother to LEARN the facts rather then just childishly posts bile at people who are refuting the lies you so desperately want to be true?

5 figure settlement?

A real claim of sexual harassment would of resulted in settlements in hundred of thousands of dollars. A 5 figure settlement is the minimal fee any business pays to end a nuisance lawsuit.

The fact that the settlement was only 5 figures indicates it is a scam.

Aha! That's a great point about the "trivial" points stretched into almost capital offenses.

Come to think of it, The One would be totally demolished if the same standard were applied to Mr. 57 States.

It is called lying.

That the Perry camp is so willing to pimp a lie in the vain hope it will help their candidate tells us all we need to know about their personality and their character.

That the Perry supporters have exposed themselves as willing to engage in the same sleazy political tactics as the 0bama Left tells Conservatives all we need to know about their candidate.

I don’t know the answer to those questions, I don’t know if this is all just propped up nonsense... what I do know, is that I view the press with a jaundiced eye, but not with an ignorant one.

Face it, Cain on the national political scene was a nobody a few weeks ago, so who knows what if any of this is true.. I know his defenders will say its all just made up nonsense, and certainly Politico went rediculously activist media with its handling of it, but does anyone know if there is a fire behind any of this?

I can say I have been less than impressed with his handling of it, that’s for sure.. coming out accusing someone else of leaking with no evidence or proof, after fumbling for days. For whatever reason at least one woman was paid to keep quiet, while the defenders say that’s just someone cruising for cash which is possible, he should have known about this, knew it would be questionied, and been prepared to defend himself about it, and he certainly wasn’t.

If the guy doesn’t do due diligence on his own situation, what can be expected if he is in 1600 PA Avenue? Is he going to blame Russia for something that they had nothing to do with, just because someone “he claims” told him so, with no evidence?

How many complaints will it before you accept the reality of the situation

I'm waiting for a real complaint. So far we've had three that came to nothing. One 'non-overtly sexual gesture' and letting a drunk employee crash at his apartment with no 'sexual' impropriety outlined in the charge. Both fell apart as nothing. We don't even have a pubic hair on a coke can. I can bet you'll find any high level corporate person with charges like these from people looking for a quick paycheck or to challenge firings. I know when I ran a rather large operations center, one out of every ten people I fired turned around and filed some sort of challenge, from 'hostile work environment' to racism. Of course, nothing came of any of them, people just looking for a way to get unemployment or to not have to say they were fired for not showing up.. but if I ever ran, I could have dozens of people come forward saying they 'accused me of xx'...

Considering Cain was a CEO of several companies, I'm surprised how few have come out and how nothing the charges are.

I love the passive/aggressive nature of the Perry camp. They run around throwing punches at people then start whining the second people punch back

How about one time you Perry supporters try making a case for your candidate instead of wasting our time making childish personal attacks at the other candidates?

I will say that one thing I have found really discouraging about all of this is the reaction of Cain’s supporters.

I never thought that GOPers would act the way Clinton’s supporters did, that is: “Who cares? It’s no big deal. The women probably asked for it anyway, they’re all lying sluts. It’s all part of a vast conspiracy. Oh, so Clinton lied? Who cares? My Clinton, right or wrong.”

The truth is that nobody would probably have wanted to know the details if Cain had handled this honestly, but he didn’t and this gave the Dems all the fuel they needed. These were not criminal complaints but employment claim settlements, and probably Cain could have taken the dignified way out and just acknowledged that they existed, apologized for any real or imagined impropriety, and then gone on to something else.

But what is the most appalling is the number of people here who excuse whatever Cain did do, even the lying, saying that it doesn’t matter because Clinton already did it and got away with most of it. Is this our new standard of behavior, the Clinton Standard?

Next we’ll be talking about what the meaning of “is” is.

They take their cue from The Dear Leader. He’s passive, his wife’s aggressive.

5 figures is general just go away or severance money. It points to there being nothing to the charges. Most companies will throw a year salary number at nonsense charges because of how much it will cost the lawyers to deal with it.

If you have anything that is equal to say 5 years or more in salary, that is when you may have something.

Heck, on a general firing for something other than gross negligence, if someone wants to cause trouble, there was usually $10K immediately on the table as a separation package that can be accounted as unused vacation, etc. (depending on the job grade).

I’d like to hear what the sexual harrassment was - in detail.

You can bet the MSM will be giving wide exposure to Gloria Allred’s political pornography....

Cain must be destroyed, whatever it takes!

Stay tuned.

I am still waiting for the first accuser to step forward and state her case. Until that happens, there is nothing to excuse. The NRA has zero existing cases of wrongdoing against Cain. Zero. All we have so far is unsubstantiated anonymous hearsay allegations.
