Occupy lawyers sue to bar arrests
Published: Nov. 8, 2011 at 7:15 AM

WASHINGTON, Nov. 8 (UPI) -- Lawyers representing Occupy protesters in Tucson said they filed a civil rights suit in federal court, seeking a temporary ban on arrests of demonstrators.

Meanwhile police and local officials across the United States and Canada grappled with potential violence as they sought to evict Occupy protesters in their cities.

While Occupy protesters in Tucson solicited materials online Monday to help winterize their camp at Viente De Agosto Park, volunteer attorneys calling themselves Occupy Tucson Legal Working Group said a civil rights suit was filed in federal court to ask for a "temporary restraining order to stop arrests at Veinte De Agosto Park," CNN reported.

The group said it represent 96 local Occupy protesters, who have more than 400 misdemeanor charges filed against them.

When does “multiple misdemeanors” add up to a felony? Ever?

Great idea. As long as they also don’t allow arrests of shop owners who beat the s**...er ...beat the Obama out of the protesters.

Open season...go get ‘em.

Make ‘em squeal.

Make ‘em plead.

And make them hurt.

There’re plenty of judges who’ll oblige them.

They need to keep the lawns well watered, especially as the weather cools. That should have multiple benefits.

...seeking a temporary ban on arrests of demonstrators.

You can have a lawyer argue to suspend arrests? If that is the case, I will send my attorney to the courts right away to suspend arresting me for murder. Just for a day. That should be enough time to eliminate some very annoying people in my daily life. After that, they can go about upholding law and order.

How exactly do you succeed at suing to prevent a person from being arrested for breaking the law? That’s a foreign concept to me.

This morning Philadelphia talk show host, Dom (last name escapes me) posed to an Occupy Philly woman that Obama gets more money from Wall Street donors than any previous republican. Her response was that Obama is putting it toward his budget and helping poor people. When Dom didn’t point out that Obummer keeps the money for his own selfish butt I had to turn the program off. These useful idiots are really that stupid. I think they should occupy Jon Corzine’s home. One thing I did learn though, these people won’t be voting today (and hopefully in the future) because that act gives voice to corruption and they don’t want to be part of the corrupt system!

"You're under arrest."
"But you can't do that!"
"Ok."

Bottom line: hundreds of cities nationwide have enacted bum-enabling (ahem, "homeless advocacy-nurturing") laws over the past couple of decades making it much easier for people to camp out in the streets without fear of arrest.

The OWS attorneys are well aware of this and are using these laws to hold cities hostage.

No but a 50/50 mix of LYSOL & water will. Also LYSOL has the added benefit of cleaning ,deodorizing & disinfecting without the collateral damage of a napalm strike via an A-10 8*>.

No, but gasoline does, and it's easier to get.
