About 50 minutes before it was about to begin, PSU administrators canceled Joe Paterno's weekly news conference Tuesday.

Penn State administrators have canceled Joe Paterno's weekly news conference in which he was expected to field questions about a sex abuse scandal involving a former assistant coach.

Paterno's son Scott tells The Associated Press on Tuesday that the decision was made by President Graham Spanier's office.

Scott Paterno says his father was disappointed and was prepared to take questions about the scandal as well as the upcoming game against Nebraska.

Rocked by an alleged child sex abuse scandal, Penn State issued a statement late Monday saying that Paterno will only answer questions about football Tuesday during his regularly scheduled press conference.

I would look for the one that wanted to cover it up and stay out of jail.

“When approached recently, Schreffler said he couldn’t comment and asked a reporter, “How did you see that report?””

Cover-ups, payoffs, and more cover-ups...
And all of it done using YOUR TAX DOLLARS to cover for Politically-correct gay pedophile rape.

Aren’t you so proud?

What a coincidence!

Both Schultz and retired Penn State Police Officer Ron Schreffler who handled the 1998 case have made statements this week at to being 'surprised' that the 1998 police report had not been deleted still existed.

Collecting and spending the checks from Penn State.

Yes. We all need to remember that Penn State is the STATE college...in a community by that name...

It's a GOVERNMENT institution. And Governments do what governments do best:

Harbor criminals. Cover up for criminals. Keep it all in the dark for as long as possible. Dig in. Keep the paychecks flowing to the insiders.

All at the expense of taxpayers.

If the taxpayers of Pennsylvania don't weigh in and demand a complete overhaul of Penn State, THEY are part of the pedophile problem -- and its cover-up -- rather than becoming a solution!

“The Penn State culture of protecting the turf of self and self-glory is absolutely sickening and repulsive.”

Pedo State is an isolated bastion of liberalism, like many other large, taxpayer supported schools are.

It’s a world where administrators and department heads are treated AS GODS, and no one DARES to question them, lest they get black-listed by the liberal elites.

Can’t find it now but I remember reading it last night (not the report but what I had mentioned).

State authorities are digging deeper into the 1998 case. Heads are going to roll in the PSU police department which falls under Schultz in the organization.

For a contrast, take a look at the way PSU handled a PLAYER accused of sexual assault. His name is AUSTIN SCOTT. He was accused by a female student of sexual assault. Paterno and the football program dropped him like a hot potato. They couldn’t get him away from the program fast enough.
Scott maintained his innocence saying it was simply a college campus “hook up”. Turns out that Scott was telling the truth. His “victim” had a history of making these claims. The entire case was dropped.

Sandusky, the child rapist, is given the keys to the campus after he is seen sodomizing a ten year old boy. Scott is kicked out the door of the football program for having consensual sex with another student.

It couldn’t be because Scott was BLACK and the fiend Sandusky was WHITE. That could never happen at a place like Penn State.

This situation is akin to situation at Japan’s nuclear power plants after the earthquake. It gets worse with every passing day.

Also remember that these type of predators are relentless. Use the iceberg analogy. We are only seeing 10% of his victims. The other 90% are still unseen.

“The rape case was dropped by Centre County prosecutors on the eve of trial in 2008, when a county judge decided that a jury could hear that Minder had accused someone else of similar crimes four years before. That man was acquitted.”

Thanks! It doesn’t say if Gricar was involved or not in ‘98 as far as I can tell.

“Two months ago, state police at Rockview in Centre County began calling witnesses to a May 1998 report by Penn State University police detailing an earlier allegation of inappropriate contact against Sandusky by another boy.”

I’m not sure what that is supposed to mean. Two months ago when? As in two months ago this year?

“When reached by phone, his mother said she took her son to Penn State police for questioning in 1998 but didn’t listen to the interview. She said she never asked her son what happened.”

So weird. I guess maybe she is protecting her adult son now.

I’m sure that Penn State investigated all of this thoroughly, like they did with the Michael Mann hockey stick investigation:

“Turns out that Scott was telling the truth”
“Sandusky, the child rapist, is given the keys to the campus”

One is not politically correct in the closed world of a campus runs by liberals.
THE OTHER IS....

“The rape case was dropped by Centre County prosecutors on the eve of trial in 2008”

The details, including texts betwen Scott and the alleged victim, the alleged victims CHANGING story, and the complete abandonment of this young man by Paterno and PSU, is amazing when compared to the eye witness accounts of rape, self(Sandusky)confessed wrong doing, and the near complete PASS given to the fiedish child predator Jerry Sandusky.

Lots of people knew in 1998. Gricar was the Cente County DA at that time and up until his mysterious disappearance. It gets deeper. PSU attorneys knew.

State College attorney Wendell V. Courtney was apprised of the investigation in 1998 because he was then-counsel for Penn State and for The Second Mile, a position he still holds. He was unavailable for comment Monday.

That investigation, by University Police, was closed when the Centre County district attorney’s office decided not to file charges.

Pedo State is an isolated bastion of liberalism, like many other large, taxpayer supported schools are.

I think the only missing @ Pedo State was to have Alfred Kinsey's grandson around, recording the details of Sandusky's abuse so they could be recorded and submitted as university "scientific research..."

[For those not sure of what I'm referencing...click on the link @ post #120]

UnrePENTant State, or now known as Pedo State, is actually Pedo State II. Pedo State I was Indiana University.

Perhaps Spanier could consider opening the "Sandusky Institute" of Zoology @ Pedo State...where the "beasts" that are studied are those who operate in the mold of Kinsey -- and those university officials who "lionize" them.

Not sure if we should call them the Nittany Lyin's...
Or the Nit-Kinsey Lionizers.

All other things aside, can you just IMAGINE what the opposing crowds are going to put these players through for the next several weeks??

And yeah, I was at ALL THREE Catholic vs. Convicts games!!

I have been wondering about this but first time seen in print (see below). Of course Joe has said he would testify against Curley and Schultz but how? Also, it is mighty interesting that the indictments came just a week after Joe reached his ‘most victories’ milestone.

The key passage there: “He at no time related to me the very specific actions contained in the grand jury report.”

Curley has been charged with perjury, for saying he did not know about the specific allegation. In this case, it seems that both Paterno and Curley argue they didn’t hear the specific vile allegation against Sandusky — that they were just told there was an uncomfortable scene.

Maybe so. And again: Curley and Schultz were charged with perjury, but Paterno has not been charged with anything.
