Tom Ridge is being considered to be the new head of the board. Ridge is being considered as a replacement for Spanier, PSU president. As PSU president, he would also be a member of the board.

They are being more gracious than Joe deserves over this, letting him retire. They need him and anyone remotely connected to this GONE, ASAP.
If not it will be a fiscal disaster for the university as Alumni and Endowments pull their donations from PSU.
