Joe P. did what some Catholic officials did in learning about a priest being accused of sexual molestation....he didn't want to believe it...he wanted to forgive...he wanted it to go away....he believed that people can change and he believed in redemption...he might have also got taken in with the "it was nothing...just fooling around" crap....
but sadly, there is no changing a homosexual predator.....
