Finishing a woman’s diary about her autistic child. Very sad — she is in hospital, victim of overmedication. She is semi-vegetable.
We had bout of snow 3 weeks ago — nothing like Alaska, though.
WOW....sounds like a hard book to read/edit.
It’s thinking of snowing again....supposed to be a bit of snow for the next few days.
Thanks for the great cake for The Marines, Sand.
Happy Birthday, USMC, and a blessed Veterans Day to all veterans and their familes.
Well did I ever get the nicest surprise on this the Marines Birthday......kid I work with shared how proud he is of the experience in taking his oath just yesturday!
He said ...”I never felt so proud, it changed me”...and you could see it in his face...so very proud...and ten feet taller than the last time I saw and spoke with him! He leaves in August though likly sooner he hopes.
I couldn’t have asked for a nicer thing to occur this very special day....Happy Birtday Marines...you’ve got another one on the way!
Please let your young man know that we are proud of him and we thank him for choosing to serve our country.
I will certainy relay the message Kathy.....He mentioned never feeling so close to his country as he did while taking the Marine Oath. It was so easy to see he was impacted.
I am grateful for your kind words. Support from “good” citizens like you is golden when we were deployed. Family, friends, neighbors and those who love this nations security and freedoms helped me and my team through many dark times with a call, some mail or a “care package” from the “world” .
Each generation changes, each conflict brings political propaganda and hardships but we have to remember. No one wants peace and freedom more that Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen or Marines. We worked for it, some paid the ultimate sacrifice. Yet we couldn’t make it happen with the support provided by individuals, communities, manufacturing bases, commercial logistics, rationing of resources key to such etc etc... all Americans IMO are veterans of each conflict, with or without their support.
But it is the ones that support the veterans and those still active duty that I am truly grateful for ......
Thank You....
