Rick Perry says eliminate 3 agencies, can’t name them

ROCHESTER, Mich. (AP) — Republican presidential hopeful Rick Perry says he would eliminate three federal agencies. Just don’t ask him to name them.

The Texas governor on Wednesday night struggled during a debate with his rivals and said he would nix the Commerce and Education departments. He drew a blank when the moderator asked what the third agency would be.

Perry previously has called on the elimination of the Energy Department.

Perry is only saying “oops” for drawing a blank on a favorite subject of criticism on the campaign trail.

He has struggled at previous debates and although he’s committed to four more, his advisers are considering skipping future ones.

Rick Perry forgot his cue cards. Its not like he studied the entire federal Cabinet roster. After all, he’s the Governor Of Texas.

I even felt bad for him and I don’t have much use for him at all.

LOL! You’re dumber than he is. It’s not the EPA. He even said it’s not the EPA. The word that was escaping him was ‘energy’.

I actually felt bad for Perry. Then I thought about the mindless sycophants like you and I had a really good laugh.

Giving illegal aliens in-state tuition is a far bigger blunder than forgetting the name of the third agency. What worries me far more than such a mental moment is whether he would actually do anything to eliminate those agencies if he were to get into the White House.

I doubt it. He did not cut any of the bureaucracy in Texas, as far as I know, and he was big on all that transnational highway nonsense for many years. Instead of cutting agencies, he’d probably start building more high-speed rail systems.

You’re right, Perry was doing much better. You know I’m not a Perry supporter but that was painful to watch. Having been I felt sorry for him. I don’t want him to be the Republican nominee but I don’t wish public humiliation on anyone. okay, maybe Obama and Biden.

Rick Perry forgot his cue cards.

And do you remember that other Republican who use to use cue cards? I do and his name was Ronald Reagan and he made many gaffs both when he was running for president and when he was president. The press was forever slamming him over his remarks and mistakes. Don't any of you remember this, or were you all too young to remember the Gipper? These remarks didn't prevent him from being a good president. I cannot believe the number of people who think these "debates" are such a big deal. It's ludicrous.

“From a purely selfish standpoint, this does hurt Texas. The lamestream media will enjoy mocking not just our governor but all Texans. (I really hope I’m wrong about that). “

I’m rather at that point myself.

I wasn’t all for Perry getting into the race to begin with because he just never really had “it” for the national scene. He was passable and had the “R” next to his name so he walked elections here for the time being. Fine. He’s been better than most of the Dem candidates he’s run up against for Governor. I’m mostly okay, if not excited, with him as Guv.

But, I’m starting to feel for him as he continues to under-perform. I don’t know what he can do at this point to seriously re-image and re-launch himself. Coaching, marketing, imaging, advertising.......his biggest hurdle is when he has to present himself and an argument against someone else. I don’t know how you get by that.

People correctly tell me that I should probably think about changing my screen name, but if you keep spewing out BS like that, you really should reconsider yours as well.
