You’re exactly right. The grand jury report says the grad asst. and his father went to meet with Paterno the very next day and “told him what he saw”. Didn’t say it was specific but didn’t say it wasn’t either. But judging by how upset the report said the grad asst. was my guess is he told him all of it. The grad is certainly culpable, moreso, but so was Paterno. The information as it was passed up the chain became less specific to the point where it was concluded that it “wasn’t that serious”. It was people covering their own asses and turning the other cheek at the expense of at least 8 kids and probably scores more.
What a contrast as to how Sandusky’s known abuse was ignored by the DA, and covered-up by higher-ups at Penn State, and Duke University labeled the innocent Lacrosse players as rapists, and the DA pursued charges that never happened.
