STATE COLLEGE -- More than a thousand Penn State students are moving between the campus and downtown, chanting in support of football coach Joe Paterno, whose job has been questioned over his handling of sex-abuse allegations involving a former coach.
Crowds began to gather around 10 p.m. on Beaver Avenue. After police in riot gear told them to move along, the students moved to Old Main. They sang the alma mater, professed their love for Paterno and profanely denounced Sandusky. They pointed toward Penn State president Graham Spanier's still-lit office. Then, after a brief "back to Beaver" chant, the crowd returned to Beaver Avenue.

Plenty of sexual abuse of same sex minors in America's schools. The media is acting like this is an anomaly.
Planned Parenthood has been exposed routinely covering up child sexual abuse as well, destroying evidence, and permitting abusers to continue their game.

I’m glad none of Sandusky’s victims are mine. One woman had 2 sons sodomized by him. Likely they will never recover.
The suicide was his brother.
College sports are wildly popular, true; college scholarships in athletics are big business. Sports fans often cross Dave Barry’s line from hobby to insanity.

This may subject the entire PSU hierarchy, including Paterno, to criminal indictments.

Paterno loses respect for not resigning immediately and instead basking in the adulation of his 20 something idiotic supporters. He had to be forced out by the board. Not a good note to go out on.
Did one of the boys speak up after all this time?
I still don’t understand(in other cases as well) why one of them wouldn’t have told a parent, teacher, anyone!!! at the time of the assault.
Was the “witness” the only one who reported this?

Great post. But I truly have never seen such a rush to judgment. Sandusky just got arrested. There hasn’t even been a preliminary. The accusations are horrific, but this case seems to have thrown away even the tiniest presumption of innocence. Weird.
I do find it curious, that all of this came down right after JoePa surpassed Eddie Robinson for most wins by a head coach....how long were they sitting on this, before they released it?

Can you cite a source the he reported it to the campus police? I’ve only read he reported it to the athletic director.
At least on emergency vehicle is in the cam pic. The cam does not auto-refresh.
Of course the "corrupt" programs usually just slip bling to the boys.
We have Paterno’s grand jury testimony where he says he didn’t call the police, but instead, the next day, reported it to the athletic director. That is a massive moral failing, if not a crime.
