I feel a larger issue here too is that this is an example of what happens when we make idols of men. We place them on pedestals, we make excuses for their wrongdoing, turn the other cheek or simply fail to believe what they have done. In turn, they idolized grow larger than life in their own minds believing themselves to be invincible and above the law.

We have created this monster in our society by giving too much power to the famous. Too much influence in our judgments and thinking.

It’s exactly why Obama gets away with repeatedly breaking the law.

I would include Jackie O, Hillary and Oprha in this idol category, too. All of them have been involved in wrong doing we don’t want to admit. Oprha’s school for orphans in Africa was involved in child sex abuse.
