As I pointed out, I found it very telling that Spanier had a professionally prepared statement to distribute to the media within moments after the press conference ended last night, whereas Paterno wasn't even allowed to hold the press conference which was a long scheduled tradition yesterday.
They are making Spanier into merely the collateral damage and Paterno into the perp when the real truth is exactly the opposite.
As one of my co-workers pointed out at lunch, this certainly wouldn't be the case if Joe Pa was a prominent Democrat.
I know it’s not even near the same level, but Penn State was up to it’s neck in the Climategate scandal with Professor Micheal Mann.
Which Penn State cleared him of any wrong doing.

This is really the crux of the issue.
Ever since the Climatgate scandal broke I have sent every item I could find, proving that AGW is a hoax, to Spanier’s office, to the email box of Dr. Thomas Poole, Spanier’s assistant. At first he sent me a couple of mealy-mouthed alibis sticking up for Mann, and then stopped replying.
So for me, Spanier had it coming; never mind that it CAME from a different direction, for a different reason. But I won’t feel that complete justice has been done until I see video or hear reports of both Poole and Mann selling pencils on a street corner someplace!
Hard to find an answer to that. The most recent data I was able to find came from the mid 1990s. The study found that one out of three sex crimes against children where of the man/boy variety. Lesbians accounted for almost no sex crimes against girls.
So gay men representing 3% of the population accounted for a full third of all child molestations in the United States, according to this site. If that's correct, it's staggering.
