I am not sure most people with get this without help, so may I add to your comments by saying that just because a man is a pilot does not make him special. In the hierarchy of pilots, the smartest and most driven gravitate towards fighter aircraft; Those on the left side of the Bell Curve, towards transport. This is of course not always true and there are many exceptions, and flying multi-engine planes puts the pilot into an strong position with the airlines after leaving the Air Force vs. the fighter guys.
All this to say that there absolutely nothing negative about being an AF pilot, but that skill set is a poor indicator of future success as you can both go to the moon or die in a TV traffic helicopter.
