If there is a sex ring, all that energy focusing on Paterno needs to be turned to demanding it be investigated, and if true those people prosecuted and jailed. I really don’t understand why that keeps being avoided and deflected her and the spotlight being brought back to Joe, when nothing else can be accomplished with that.

As I wrote on my last post to you -- see the two links I posted there, that happened. The Madden emphasis on the larger pedophile ring was the FIRST thing that began Thursday morning!

What are you, dense? You didn't notice the "new wave" hitting the shore Thursday a.m.?

You write about how it "keeps being avoided and deflected her and the spotlight being brought back to Joe" as if a fallen coach Paterno has been posted about for months or even weeks.

Back up with the news timeline. He was only fired Wed. night. And the normal news cycle for people to absorb that is at least 24 hours and longer! And here we, are Fri a.m. & you're making these comments?

You remind me of an undertaker who has all sorts of bodies of bury. A long-time coach with a swell of adoring fans -- coupled with those who think his "legacy" should be described less than charitably because of his negative legacy -- are attending the Memorial service and follow-up graveside.

But there you are...
...in the church,
...alongside the motorcade,
...and at the graveside...
...screaming rah-rah primal screams to get people to literally sprint through each of those processes...
...screaming with indignant rage,
...to rush people through paying their respects (or disrespects depending upon how he impacted you and others) to the man...

You, being an utterly clueless man as to how long it takes for people to absorb both...
...that the man is "dead"...
...coupled with "post-death" revelations that he wasn't all who people thought he was,
...can't seemingly do enough to usher people away from the open casket...
...yelling, "that's enough...move along...move along...
..."we've got other funeral services in the wings...
..."come on...get up off of your knees...
..."if you've seen one dead man...you've seen them all..."

Finally, somebody in authority comes to you and says, "That's enough. Yes, there are other dead bodies urgently waiting to be buried. But guess what? You're not the only mortuary in town. In fact, nobody else is utilizing your services."

Excuse me for wanting to strike while the iron is hot, and not falling for the media psyops, and not having sympathy for kids who supposed to be so able to ‘get over’ it.

We have become a society that dwells on insignificant things and ignores the important. Not my problem.

Colofonian, old pal. Mike McQueary. I'm still incensed that his named wasn't first on the list of those fired, but I have a hint. 43 P.S. Section 1421. Pennsylvania's 'whistle-blower' statute. If by being an emeritus faculty member of Penn State, Sandusky qualified as an "agent" of the University, then McQueary is protected because he reported wrongdoing of an agent of the University to the University.

While "employee" is defined in the statute, "agent" is not. My guess is that no appellate court in PA has ruled on whether an emeritus faculty member qualifies as an agent under the statute. And Penn State's lawyers (allow me a moment of self-loathing as a lawyer) have informed the Trustees that they may be subject to suit by McQueary for firing him.
