The Herman Cain campaign just came out with a list of chairs and other backers in all 67 counties in Florida. It’s the most extensive network of supporters announced by any of the Republican presidential candidates so far. The release is 9 pages — and you can read it here: http://blogs.orlandosentinel.com/news_politics/2011/11/cain-blankets-florida-with-chairs-in-all-67-counties.html

Well, there’s 5 key states if you are going to include OH.

IL, PA, OH, VA and FL.

Romney needs 3/5 to win. FL + PA + IL is probably the easiest.

If Cain locks down FL and OH, that leaves Romney with PA + IL + VA as his only out.

Cain has a solid lead in OH, has taken the lead in FL, has a slighte lead in IL and has deadlocked PA and VA.

I’ve been thinking the same thing. There is one glitch, however-Are they both residents of Georgia? If so, there is a 12th amendment problem. I think they would be ineligible for Georgia’s electoral votes. Check it out.

Newt is no longer is a GA resident.

My view has always been more to the point as written by Thomas Sowell this week to buttress Cain/Gingrich. Having this intellectually and spiritually tough man at the helm would start a systemic deconstruction of the societal malaise that started before the last century and was put into high gear by LBJ. I love Newt’s ability to cut to the chase while skewering the premise at the same time.

The president needs to focus on the big picture and manage the playing field while his right hand man must be able to stand before the nation and take on the liberal and establishment goons at a moments notice to do the job originally set for the VP. Gingrich can have the latitude to set the battlefield while Cain focuses on moving the country forward.

Snip from the article;

What role does race play in all this?

It is probably not racism, as such, that motivates these attacks on Herman Cain. The motivation is far more likely to be politics, but politics makes a prominent black conservative like Clarence Thomas or Herman Cain far more dangerous to the Democrats than an equally prominent white conservative.

The 90 percent black vote for Democrats is like money in the bank on election day. A prominent black conservative who offers an alternative view of the world is a serious danger politically, because if that alternative view has the net effect of reducing the black vote for Democrats just to 75 percent, the Democrats are in big trouble at election time.

In this political context, merely defeating a black conservative at the polls or at confirmation hearings is not enough. He must be destroyed as an influence in the future — and character assassination is the most obvious way to do it.

You are far from the only one.

I think it’s Cain / Gingrich. Cain has weathered the establishment attack.

“Cain has a solid lead in OH, has taken the lead in FL, has a slighte lead in IL and has deadlocked PA and VA.”

And keep in mind Sanatorium has something like 13% in his home state (PA). If he drops out, virtually all his voters go to Cain...

Good stuff! Thanks!

Guys, if it gets too tactical on this here thread, remember, loose lips sink ships. Herman Cain's opposing camps, MSM sycophants and toadies, turncoats, agents provocateur, Karl Rove, et. al. are reading these threads as well as the "oppos" skunk works at the White House.

Privately "Freepmail" the more sensitive and specific stuff, tactics, organizational moves, etc. Not bein' paranoid, just sayin, one big happy family here. We got a lot of lurkers from this place and that place, it is easy to forget.

Practice good OPSEC, now lets continue to get Iowa, NH and SC further fortified as well. ;-) The CONSERVATIVE ALTERNATIVE TO STOPPING MITT ROMNEY. TIME IS SHORT.

It was fun the first dozen times, or so. After that, it’s just an overly large and unnecessary distraction when you’re trying to read other posts.

For the record, I’m a cash-contributing Cain supporter, so don’t accuse me of being a Perrywinkle, Paultard, Newtierooter, or Mittbot.

Exactly right! Did you see the article about an investigator who has voice analysis software that has greater accuracy than polygraph? He analyzed Bialek’s statement and said she is lying about what she says Herman did to her, he says Herman is telling the truth.

“It will be Cain because of Gingrich bagage.”

You’ve got it. Newt is a brilliant intellect and a great debater, better than all the other pubbie candidat es put together. If he weren’t Newt, he’d be my candidate in a heartbeat, with Cain for VP. Cain, however, has real character, while Newt’s shown himself far to willing to be flipped by the libs on far too many occasions. That inclines me to believe they have something devastatig on Newt that they’re just waiting to use if he ges the nomination. Right now their flak’s almost all aimed at Cain, meaning he’s he one they really fear. HERMINATE OBAMA!!

I think it will be Cain vs Romney in the end due to Gingrich baggage (both on the policy and personal side). Gingrich’s baggage will begin to be aired as Romney is threatened and as Gingrich rises in the polls.
