Republican presidential candidates Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum participated in the Granite State Patriot’s Constitutional Conversation Thursday night, where the two were not short on criticism of President Obama’s interpretation of the constitution.
“What’s the biggest constitutional failing of the Obama administration?” the moderator asked Santorum. The crowd laughed as Santorum scratched his head for a moment with a perplexed look.
“This is going to be a much longer debate now,” Gingrich said.
“We’ll let Newt go first,” Santorum said.
Gingrich paused and said, “Not understanding which country he’s president of.”

Noticed Santorum telling Newt to go first. Newt is a historian and a constitutionalist...knows what he is talking about..NO scripts, NO telepromters...all brain. GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO NEWT

The author, Elicia Dover, needs to go back to the school she presumably graduated from and demand a refund. That was the sloppiest piece of ‘journalism’ I’ve ever read. Have the unions eliminated editors?
I’m not fond of Newt because of the trouble he has with character, and his issues with staying conservative when it matters, but he does have a way with words.
This is one reason that Obama will never debate Newt, unless he has to. Newt would rip him apart. Obama knows the Constitution but doesn’t believe in it. Newt knows that we must follow our Constitution if we are to survive.
To be honest, it’s not the unions, it’s the schools (which, by extension, is the unions, but I digress...). I graduated from college magna cum laude with a BA in English, and our professors used to laugh when we asked what we could “become” with a degree in English.
“NOT a journalist,” they would say with a grin.
Journalism in college curricula anymore is about slanting the piece toward a goal or idea as opposed to reporting of facts. ANYONE could become a journalist, and journalism programs are more communications than written word training.
With both a BA and a graduate certificate in professional writing, I can tell you with certainty that journalism students are as useful as underwater basket weavers.

The USSR had a constitution too, paterned on the US one. The commies paid as much attention to that document as Oturd does to ours, a piece of paper, nothing more. Recall his commentary about it, it does not say what the government should do...no dumbass, the constitution was put in place to restrain the power of the government, not give it more or infinate power.
I love how candidate after candidate differs to Newt when the going gets tuff. That in a of itself should tell you who the best candidates is.

Our communists black Muslim President doesn’t even know there is a Constitution.
That is why Newt is the only real American in the group and he would whip King Obama so bad a porta potty would have to be put behind King Obama in any debate.
Gingrich knows Obama is not Constitutionally qualified to be president. Like the rest of the republicans, he is too cowardly to do his duty and defend the Constitution.
Newt’s position in illegal aliens troubles me. We can reverse Obamacare and other harmful policies. But amnesty for illegal aliens would cause irreparable damage.
I read to the end where they tried to do the “gotcha” of wanting to impose Christian values on the nation through the government. Leftists have this misconception and fear.
The question was how do you influence society to be a virtuous society.
The best way to do this is to allow the individual to experience the consequences of his choices, and leave charity to private organizations.
