Newt Gingrich Hints at John Bolton for Presidential Cabinet
ABC News ^ | Nov 11, 2011 | Elicia Dover

Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich just opened his Manchester, N.H., campaign office moments ago. Gingrich told the volunteers and visitors he would take questions.

“Can you give us a hint of who might be in your Cabinet,” a man shouted from the back of the crowded room of about 200 people.

“Well I’ll give you an example I’m looking for,” Gingrich said. “I believe we have to overhaul the State Department very dramatically. I think we need a secretary of state who is tough-minded and who would represent American interests. I think that Ambassador Bolton represents that kind of person.”

I wish Bolton were running for President.

He’s too easy to throw under the bus at the first hint of controversy in a lesser position.
And then whoever else is President panics and swings left again.
And Newt is regretably that kind of guy.

“You know, I’ve gone from being dead in June to having someone ask who would be in the cabinet in November. I think that’s real progress,” Gingrich said.

"And Newt is regretably that kind of guy."

You got that RIGHT.
Newt as our pick would make the RATS very happy.
I hope we don't wind up with Newt.
Go Herman! ! ! ! !

There’s Isaac Newton’s law of gravity and then there’s Newton Gingrich’s.

What goes up must come down - and what starts down must go up;)

Newt/Cain or Cain/Newt - the Brain and the Train - will take us forward to places we can only imagine;)

Gingrich got the entire Contract with America passed. He didn’t cave - what happened was that the GOP dumped him as soon as the Dems attacked in revenge with their nonsense about his book deal (which was neither illegal nor unethical nor even particularly unusual - well, except that the Dems are such idiots that they’d be incapable of writing a book without Bill Ayres).

I like Gingrich but my fear is that the GOP RINO establishment won’t support him. On the other hand, they won’t support anybody, of course, and maybe he’s learned now not to rely on them, but I think they’re the big problem.

John Bolton would also be a GOOD choice for a Herman Cain cabinet.

Newt is the smarter and more conservative- Cain is going to take the slings and arrows, then MAYBE Newt can win. As long as its NOT Romney-!!!

Definitely NOT Romney!

Also, I’m sure Gingrich has been quietly observing over the last few years and has a strategy for dealing with the RINOs that run the GOP. Heck, the head RINOs even thought GWB was too conservative for them and didn’t support him, so I think Gingrich must see a pattern there. I don’t think he’d let them offer him up as a sacrifice to the Dems again.

With all do respect, it’s becoming very clear that Cain is winging it. He has not thought through what it entails to be president, and more importantly where this country needs to go and how to get there. It’s all 999.

He would be a great VP, but not president.

I think it will come down to three men very soon. The MSM will try to take the legs out of CAin and Newt...to have Romney...

Bottom line, whomever the candidate we should support him or her....

You made a good choice and you said it well, now close your mouth before you stick your foot in it again.

I wish the anti-Newt FReepers would just read his Wiki biography first, as a beginning - then do some deep research on all the ‘baggage’ the MSM has piled on his reputation.

His infidelity seems to be ‘the big bomb’ so let’s consider that his high school teacher married Newt when he was 19 and she was 26. Not a good beginning in the ‘marriage arena’.

I’ll cut him some slack - having made a bad choice for a ‘life partner’ because of naivete and misplaced trust.

Are all his critics monogamous men & women - who have never been unfaithful, never been in & out of countless affairs without marriage?

“The MSM will try to take the legs out of CAin and Newt...to have Romney...”

You’re exactly right. They’re building each of the non-Romney’s up...only to knock them down, or have us chew them up from within (as people are doing with Newt right here on this thread), so when the dust settles...

SURPRISE! It’s robocandidate for President.

“The process of recovering economically is not that difficult,” Gingrich told the crowd. “On election night, when it’s clear Barack Obama has been defeated, the recovery will begin.” Newt Gingrich
