If you think the students are bad, take a look at the High School drop-out debris littering the streets.

Here’s a very telling piece, from ESPN’s Big Ten blog. Before today’s Penn State Nebraska game, there was exactly one protester outside Beaver Stadium:

http://espn.go.com/blog/bigten/tag/_/name/huskers-lions-111112

Given the scandal that is unfolding at Penn State, there is no way today’s game—or the rest of the season—should go on as scheduled. Yes, I know that none of the players had any involvement or connection with the Sandusky scandal. But a number of coaches, including interim head coach Tom Bradley, were around and may have participated in the cover-up, or at the very least, did nothing to stop Sandusky.

Yet, the Penn State community has no problem with Bradley leading their Nittany Lions onto the field against the Huskers. And apparently, the Big Ten would be content to let PSU potentially play for the conference championship and represent it in the Rose Bowl.

Almost 30 years ago, the NCAA shut down SMU’s football program for two years for paying players. If Penn State doesn’t deserve the death penalty for protecting a serial child rapist, I don’t know who does. As a sports columnist in Minneapolis put it, what SMU did (compared to PSU) “is the equivalent of spitting on a sidewalk.”

The 100,000-plus fans in Beaver Stadium today should be ashamed of themselves. Ditto for ABC/ESPN, which (apparently) never considered cancelling their coverage of the game.

“I’m proud of this country and I’m proud of Penn State.”

So the PSU president and who knows who else besides the other 5 or so downward knew about this for 12 or so years and allowed and/or enabled it.

How deep would this have to go for you to not be “proud” of Penn State?

What if one or more of the trustees knew and/or was involved?

What if there is a network of this among other Universities?

There’s a report that Sandusky was spotting in a local sporting goods store in State College on Thursday afternoon, wearing Penn State apparel.

LOL! No wonder you're of the see/hear/speak no evil mindset when it comes to PSU and the raping/covering up/hero worshiping sickness that's going on - you're on the payroll!

Sure there comes a time when an adult needs to grow up. None the less we are all products of how our parents raised us. What morals, ethics, and so on.

Penn State and their supporters are insulated from reality and as a result delusional.

This game never should have been played. Painting your chest or holding some candles in “support” of the kids is just beyond-the-pale offensive.

Maybe after this show of goodwill the Penn State students can just put it all behind them and move on...

Your "great" students just rioted in support of an child anal-rape enabler, bub.

A few students did, just like a few idiots are at the OWS rallies. As the MSM is want to do, it turns out that those "riots" were smaller than the MSM reported and/or made it out to be. Penn State is one of the largest universities in America, 40,000+ students. Don't lose perspective.

I’ve experienced great academic freedom and respect and kindness even from liberal colleagues. The students are great!

Did you confront these "kind" liberals colleagues about the abomination of homosexuality? Did you explain how God smote Sodom and Gomorrah? Did you discuss the evils of the Obama administration with them? How about the power of union goons (Pennsylvania isn't a right to work state)? Did these liberals at PSU treat you with respect when you attacked their junk science of global warming? How do these colleagues react when you explain that life begins at conception and that abortion is contrary to God's will?

Liberals are not kind. They aren't reasonable. The leftist agenda is the same as the homosexual agenda -- the dismantling of America.

That’s great. College helps many.

This is a knife in the back that leads to the heart of that freshness of youth that makes us all smile. A place devoted to protecting young people as they mature failed to protect the most innocent young boys, going so far as to have one of its coaches and ‘philanthropists’ enjoy university protection.

Hey, hey, hey! We don’t want THAT. I, personally want that bastard to PAY a while HERE before he goes on to his eternal punishment. I want ol’ Jerrah to go on to da’ bighouse and have his rendezvous wit’ Tyrone.

Tyrone be lookin’ fo a new ho’! I want to see ol’ Jerrah find himself on the RECEIVING end of what he dished out for all those years. There IS the possibility that ol’ Jerrah might actually enjoy it, but that’s the chance I’m willing to take. There’s also a chance Tyrone might knock ol Jerrah’s teeth out in a search for a little variety, dontcha know?!

No, no! We don’t want ol’ Jerrah to miss anything that’s owed to him! IMHO.

Because ABC/ESPN is part of the conspiracy of silence and cowardice...why is this game on national TV? If the same scandal had erupted at Texas Tech, NC State or Kentucky, would the ESPN crew still be in town?

If Paterno had one/one thousandth of the class these numbskulls think he has, he would speak up immediately and strongly to put a stop to this idiocy.

These people are so self centered they cannot even see the utter foolishness of their actions and that they are causing more damage to the school they profess to love.

Their actions show that Penn State has totally failed in its mission to convert childish students into intelligent adults.

PSU is a great community.

If PSU was a "great community", they wouldn't all be focused on a football game today. They'd say "college football is just a game that is supposed to be an adjunct to a higher education, and not an end in and of itself.

If PSU was a "great community", they would recognize that it was the very power of that college, "amateur" football program that played a critical role in how pedophilia (an individual problem) was allowed to grow into serial, wholesale violation of dozens of little boys. The only reason that "amateur" program has any power is because the PSU COMMUNITY granted it that power!

If PSU was a "great community", they would recognize that they - now that they are aware of SOME of the facts of the situation - are putting the sin of pride over the pursuit of justice. Just look at your beloved stadium today - full of fans! Full of fans of a program that - unbeknownst to them last week, but now fully aware this week - was committing atrocities to children in trouble!

If PSU was a "great community", they would be willing to walk away from a game, and find an alternative way to honor the senior players who (most probably) had nothing to do with these atrocities.

The fact they can't walk away shows a deep disorder in the Penn State University community. I won't argue that the same disorder exists elsewhere , but a disorder it definitely is.

That last sentence should read: “I won’t argue that the same disorder doesn’t exists elsewhere , but a disorder it definitely is.”
