Some public figures have labeled the “Mormon” church as a “cult”. Most recently, ABC News reported that Dallas Pastor Robert Jeffress applied such a label in an interview following a political gathering where Jeffress introduced a political rival to Mormon candidate Mitt Romney.
Use of such a term to describe Mormonism is highly offensive to members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. “Cult” carries the connotation of dangerous, even violent groups whose beliefs are irrational and whose practices are immoral and lawless (Koresh and the Branch Davidians, Heaven’s Gate, Aum Shinrikyo, and The People’s Temple are all prominent examples) . The term cannot be applied to Mormons unless it is so broadly defined that its use could be applied to virtually any religious body.
Like racist language, the use of the word “cult” to describe a religion usually tells us very little about the religion, but a great deal about the person using the word. In short, it tells us only that the person using the label “cult” doesn’t like the religion in question, or thinks it is illegitimate. Apparently that “whores of Babylon” and “abomination” comment in lds scripture was not talking about hatred towards Christians in mormon scripture but something else entirely.

Whether or not the paperwork is accurate, are you or are you not required to tithe a fixed percentage? Are you able to give a very small amount or nothing at all without reprimand?
Oh and btw, If the Book of Mormon contains the “fulness of the everlasting gospel”, why doesn’t it say anything about so many important teachings such as eternal progression, celestial marriage, the Word of Wisdom, the plurality of gods, the pre-existence of man, our mother in heaven, baptism for the dead, etc?
Please square these practices with the Word of God. All are anti-Biblical and in complete disagreement with Scripture and I find that far more offensive than you find anti-Mormonism.
Yes, we Christians are permitted offense by your beliefs just as you are offended by ours. Are we supposed to remain silent while you try to discredit the omnipresence of our Savior? It works both ways, you know.

That is an inaccurate assessment maybe even bias towards the LDS Missionaries who purpose is to share the everlasting gospel as recorded in Revelation 14:6

Isn’t that amazing! Revelation NEVER once ever mentions the Book of Moronism, or the Dumb and Convoluteds, nor the Black Pearl from Pirates of the Caribbean!
The Bible specifies exactly what the Gospel is way before Revelation. It was and is sufficient to save. Always has been and always will be. Nothing can ever be added to it or taken away.
No false worthiness needed.
No moronic temples needed.
No dead-dunking needed.
No magic underoos needed.
No polygamy needed.
No making God into an idol needed.
No created Jesus needed.
No moronic polytheism needed.
No celestial sex needed.
No becoming a god needed.
No secret rituals needed.
Not a single thing in mormonism is needed, nor compatible with God’s Eternal Gospel.
It alone is sufficient to save via GRACE alone and received by FAITH alone.
Which brings us back full circle to mormon missionaries going out to LIE to Christians
and telling them their church is false.
Those same comments can also be found in the New Testament

Tithing is a covenant between you and the Lord if you lie about your covenant that rest on you head not the Lord’s servant.
Some are not ready to a full tithe and may never be that is their choice.
The Lord helps those who help themselves.
Like in life one can improve their state of happiness just how much is one willing to practice and apply the principles to achived the Blessings!

I am not sure why you are referencing Beck, he has nothing to do with this discussion.
