Rumsfeld wrote in his book that only three detainees were ever waterboarded and none of the episodes occurred at Gitmo.

By saying water boarding is torture, they are saying we torture our own. I understand that we have used it to prepare our soldiers for what MIGHT happen to them.
You can thank John McCain and Lindsey Graham for that. The Left screamed "torture" and both of them ran around mindlessly regitating it to the media. Anyone who pointed out the facts was shouted down because "Even your own side says it is torture".

From what I hear/read their entire campaign will be based on playing the race card over and over more severe than ever,possibly even hiring rioters. If Cain got the nod they could kiss all the energy in their campaign good bye.
I just finished watching it. The only thing I would add that Bachmann omitted was about waterboarding. She should have said that we only used it on three high value targets and that we routinely use it on our own troops as part of their training. Waterboarding is not torture.
Agreed, that too. We’ve allowed the media, and Democrats but I repeat myself, to drive the discussion.

Newt is the problem, not the solution. He is part of the current political class that got us into this situation. Mr. “Green Conservative” will compromise on anything. It is why he supported Dede Scozzafava over a real conservative.
You’re right. It was part of training before but I don’t know if it’s still being done.
For all I know, the DoD has changed that class to reciting the Miranda warnings we are now giving to enemy combatants.
