What most people know about the debates is what the news channels say the next day.

By the way, Stephen Hayes. Brain freeze over.

Kristol: Only Gingrich and Romney showed they were capable of being president, based on the foreign policy debate. It will be a Gingrich-Romney race to the nomination.

Williams: Perry is out, can’t win, shouldn’t be on the stage.

Newt really connects with audience and viewers when he sticks it to the press.

I think people dislike the press more than they do lawyers now. :)

Really? Romney who merely repeated what ever the other candidates had said before him?

THAT is Presidential in the GOP Establishment’s world?

Yes. I don’t think Newt would be a good canidate. For one thing, he is undependable on isues.

Secondly, the media has all of their stuff on him from the 90’s in their archives, and as soon as he got the nomination he would be attacked with the old “Gingrich Who Stole Christmas” line. The general public’s collective memory of him has been poisoned by the media.

Plus, I think Callista is as scary as Michelle Obama.

Good, now we can make media jokes.

Q: What is blue, yellow and orange and looks good on members of the leftist media?

Johnnie, my point was that the attacks have stopped but the constant harking back to them is just keeping the thing fresh in everyone’s mind.

Just my opinion.

Yes, the Cain accusers are backing off. The most egregious segment of Bialek's story, as pointed out last week by another Freeper, is that Cain had her hotel room upgraded to a suite, took her to a fine restaurant for dinner, and then physically approached her in a car while he was at the wheel.

Many of us are old enough to remember trying to score in a car (and sometimes even succeeding) but that was because we didn't have a room let alone a hotel suite to go to.

At this time, I would like to see a convoluted race next spring, ending with no clear nominee and a brokered convention. Except that the GOP would probably pull defeat out of the jaws of victory and nominate the other Bush.

==

Manipulation of the economic/jobless numbers is well underway. And the Obama supporters have been tauting his foreign policy successes. They still have a year for rehabilitation.

Obama could be a formidable incumbent facing an embattled, wounded GOP nominee. Incumbency is difficult to win against.

You just made me laugh with the Callista thing!!

I agree with you. People are jumping on the Newt bandwagon because they love his debate performances.

We need to remember that Newt, while wildly entertaining in debates, cannot energize a crowd with a speech or connect warmly with people in the press the flesh stuff.

Also, long forgotten problems with Newt will resurface quickly if he starts leading the polls.

Kristol saying the lawless antics of the Marxist OWS filth is antidemocratic.

Come on Kristol...it IS the RAT party.

Wahn defending the OWS morons and saying polls show Americans back the OWS more than the TEA partiers.

Williams is reading the talkingpoints which say the Occupy is more popular than the Tea Party.

Wallace tries to interrupt Juan’s reading, to no avail, as Williams manages to finish his obvious reading.

I happened to see Reince Priebus interviewed by Candy Crowley this morning and did not know who he was or what party he was speaking for until I saw his name on the screen. He talks with an NPR voice. What is up with that?!!! He speaks platitudes. No wonder he is invisible.

Don’t worry. We’re killing ourselves right now as evidenced by really vicious infighting on this forum. But when a winner emerges, we’ll go back to thinking about Obama.

Thinking about Obama will make anyone vote for the Republican candidate and all these people saying, “I will never vote for — fill in the blank” are just venting.

At least, I hope so.

Thanks for the information. I prefer CATO and Heritage but this was the only one I found with information side by side. Still, I’ll try to remember to always consider the source.

The liberals are setting us up.... Cain gets high in the polls, the media attack him over allegations set up by the left, his poll numbers drop.... Romney gets the nomination, and the liberal media attack goes like this, racist elements in the tea party would never have allow a black man to be their nominee, Herman Cain had no chance......That is why the tea party is so against Obama, this has nothing to do with Obama policies it’s simply so many can’t stand to see a black man succeed.....

We’re toast.
