Brutal: Cain blanks on Libya, supports collective bargaining for public employee unions

You won’t believe me until you click play but this is much worse than Perry’s brain lock at the debate last week. Perry lost his train of thought; Cain doesn’t have a train at all here, to the point where he needs confirmation from the interviewer of what Obama’s position on Libya actually was. Eventually he produces some boilerplate about not supporting the opposition until you’re sure who’s in it and of course not making a decision as president until he has all the information, which is a standard Cain fallback talking point whenever he gets in trouble on a question, but the first two minutes or so are pure agony. The board actually took pity on him, I think, by not following up. Imagine if they’d asked his opinion on Obama’s decision to ignore the War Powers Act. Remember, this is a guy who apparently wants to be considered for secretary of defense.

And that still only barely qualifies as the worst answer he gave today. Here’s what he told them when asked, predictably enough, about Scott Walker’s righteous crusade against public employee unions:

I got the popcorn ready. Waiting to see the show about this on Hannity. Suppose Rush and Levin will be all over this on talk-radio...? Ya... Probably ought to save the popcorn.

If Cain crashes and burns I can still support Newt or even Perry. Its a deep enough bench.

If you support collective bargaining for public employees, I do not support you.

On a side note, I’ve been following Scott Walker on facebook, he’s doing great things for WI. School districts suddenly have surpluses.

Oops, with the "Obama's position" opening, Cain let a home run slip by.

All he had to do was point out that Obama's position on the Libyan "Democratic Uprising" was exactly the opposite of his position on the Iranian "Democratic Uprising". With Iran, Obama supported the wholesale murder of the peaceful Democratic Demonstrators, and with Libya, Obama supported and assisted in the murder of internationally recognized governmental police officers.

Mr Cain might have added that he disagreed with both those actions.

I watched the debate Saturday very closely as I always do. Mr. Cain blanked at nothing, but gave very reasonable answers to all questions! The entire media with the exception of several radio talk show hosts, are working very deviously but very energeticly for the Obama administration.

So here is my take:

We are at war on a different battlefield here!

Obama and his Evil ilk against Christian Conservatives! If Evil can beat us on this turf, they will beat us in 2012! So the biggest battle is going on right now! Will Evil conquer Good?

It is up to us! Let us hope the American voter will win by electing the man who frightens Evil the most!

Vote for the man with the plan who can, the only man who can save the country from eternal rank Evil! Turn back to God! There are more of us than there are of them! And greater is He who is in us that he who is in the world!

Please stand by Herman Cain.

Incidently, Mark Levin is on now. I wonder if he will mention the results of his GOP poll.

This is thread number 5 here.

Gosh, I wonder who the MSM is still trying to destroy.

Why on Earth did Herman Cain even talk to the media about foreign policy, when he just hired his new team on Friday? And ON VIDEO no less? WHY? Who cares about the enemedia anyway? They won’t help him and can only hurt him. The only way this crap makes sense is if Mark Block is a mole from the Romney campaign, assigned to wreck Cain’s campaign.

To be as bad as Perry, Cain would have to forget what the third number in 9-9-9 is.

In a sit-down interview with print journalists, taking a few moments to gather your thoughts before giving an answer you know the MSM will try their best to twist to your disadvantage is not only not brutal, it is smart to do if you don't have a formulated answer ready to go on the tip of your tongue.

He went into the lions den and did just fine. I’m glad I’m not the only one who sees this...

Taking on an interview without prepared questions ahead of time, in a hostile reporter is always tough.

What happens when you run out and buy a really big, big, big balloon and you run out of gas before you can get it inflated. That is the summation of this hyped up BS. Cain answered the damn question, perry would have talked about Texas, and newt would have spend two days re defining the question.

That was PAINFUL, BRUTAL. There is no way this man is Qualified to be the President, NO WAY. I am sure this will get Aired, many times. Forget about the sexual things, this clip says it all. There was no way for Cain to take it back to 999. ROFL.

And to think Perry was crucified over his freeze. wow, compared to this, Perry is a genius.
