It’s absolutely uplifting to read a proper, factual, English piece of work over the garbage our American journalism outfits are churning out.
America would be wise to keep our Indian allies close. Many Americans conjure up thoughts of tech support phone calls to India and unjustly project frustration with their PCs onto the lowly analyst on the other end of the line; however, the Indian people are highly industrious, respectful, morally upright individuals who deserve our respect and friendship.
It is true that there are still very tight caste-like family systems and bonds that keep westerners out of Indian homes (specifically to marriage), but I believe the Indian people are warming to us; I hope that continues.
Pakistan is a problem, to be certain, and it’s shameful that America leverages an ally like India in this way. We use them as a pawn against Pakistan, and when the Pakis roll over like an obedient pup, we go back to India and say, “Okay, now you deal with it.” That’s not a partnership that’s going to last very long.
American citizens stand in solidarity with our eastern allies, and I hope we elect more India-friendly representatives in the coming season.
