Raise tax revenues? How about close the loopholes that let multi-millionaires like leftist WARREN BUFFET (who think Americans making $200K should foot the bill instead of themselves) hide their cash away? How about get rid of tax exemptions for charitable contributions that draw resources away from productivity?

That is exactly what is being done. They are changing the tax code to eliminate loopholes and shelters, NOT raising tax rates. Why do so many frickin people on this site refuse to read the english language. Raising revenues is not the same as raising everyone's tax rates. It was the same crap with differentiating between health CARE and health INSURANCE. Nobody in this country is denied health CARE.

Distinction with no difference. Because government does not generate revenue, they obtain it from those that do. Closing loopholes or raising tax rates achieve the same objective; providing government with more funds to spend wildly(See Solyndra).
