Research assignment: this had to be a few years back now but Rush was discussing Newt with some politico and the politico said Newt was a horrible manager when he was Speaker. Rush sort of agreed and they moved along. It struck me then as a real inside politics tidbit but one they did not wish to linger over. Does anyone else recall this?

Newt has some good ideas but also can come up with a harebrained one just as easily. He has mostly functioned as an individual contributor, so while we've known Newt a long time, where's the executive experience? There's a reason governors make better Presidents than Congresscritters (for the most part).

Cain/Gingrich is my desire. I think it would really shake up the race if they would actually announce this right now. Gingrich’s ideas with Cain’s ability of filtering the good parts of his ideas from the bad parts.

Bottom line is that we need a President who is going to hold the businesses in this country accountable for their own success and failure and get out of their way to allow this to occur and we need a President who is going to turn up the heat on CONGRESS to reform or eliminate failing government programs/agencies.
