How about the Targus Judge? It’s a large revolver that will take .410s or .45s. A 410 gage rifle would do the job but you can’t keep it in a drawer.

I think I’d use nonlethal shells, at least the first couple. A friend said you could shoot a blank from one of these guns and it would scare the bad guy to death.

I keep thinking about getting a gun but haven’t gotten around to doing it.

The Judge is a joke. If you want something that shoots .45 LC, get a real .45 LC revolver.

The point isn’t to “scare” them, the point is to STOP them. If you just scare them off, you’ve just created problems for someone else...

Picture this:::: the house is dark, the bad guy got in though a window in the kitchen, he heads down the hallway to find the master bedroom and as he gets to the bedroom door, he hears that trusty old shot gun being racked, granny is behind the bed that is between the door and granny. Now does he run, crap his pants, does both or is stupid enough to take another step and meet his maker...

The only bad part is the clean up, if he doesn't run, must be done by professionals. I ain't cleanen up that mess...At 10 foot I think I couldn't miss, hell I wouldn't even have to be a good aimer...GG
