I was in a restaurant in San Francisco years ago that solved this problem; there was one large bathroom, but instead of stalls they were little rooms (walls floor to ceiling, with locking doors). The “common” area (sinks, mirrors, etc.) was shared.
After 9/11 I remember someone speaking, saying that while we said “God bless America”, we banned religion from the classrooms and public spaces. The speaker asked why would He bless us? I agree; we continue to mock Him with ever-increasing vitriol.
