“You really think he was paid for advice??! “

Whatever the so-called advice Newt gave them, must be recorded somewhere, in order to justify the expense.

Wouldn’t it be interesting to see exactly what that advise was, I mean think about it, his advice may have been one of the primary factors in the failure of Freddy.

I think you are right, they were paying for influence, I would not be surprised to learn Newt worked closely with Dodd and Frank lobbying for votes in congress.

Seriously ? You hate capitalism that much ? I highly doubt it so why reply a soundbite that the LSM would be highly proud of ?

I guess facts, the whole complete story and understanding of running a business just isn’t all that important today versus holding onto ONE soundbite produced by one of our enemedia.

It’d truely sad the way some FReepers are falling for the crap that the LSM DEMONCRAPS spin.............sigh

“The problem is not the accusations, but his missteps in answering...” Rinse, use, repeat.

Lets see.. we take $1.6 million divided by 7 (years) equals $228,571.43, next I take this amount and divide by 12 (months in a year) equals $19,047.62, next I divide this amount by 1 hour per month, this equals $19,047.62 per Hour! Call me foolish, but I think that is kind of expense for a history lesson.

I reckon a history lesson from Newt opens a few more doors in DC than, say, a whole degree from the University of Phoenix. That's all I can figure.

I wonder if the MSM mandarins ever imagined that seeing the WAPO or NYT tag would make it so easy for so many to cull the news for the truth. (...and they wonder why they can make money anymore)

Only an idiot would believe Newt's account of this.

What are you saying Gingrich did not take tax payer money even though Ginngrich has admited it???

Owe and that great advice of “you should not give loans to people who can't pay it.” Wow that's worth $1.4 million of tax payers dollar? They could get that advice for free from talk radio.

Don't you get it? He is leaching off the tax payers. Perhaps not as bad as the Democrats, but still he is leaching. It's insane he charged them 1.4 million for something everyone already knows.

This is the same guy that teamed up with Nancy Pelosi over man made global warming.... And you think he is a conservative. What's up with all the wives? Oh yeah he did it for his country.... Right! (sarcasm off)

I could’ve told them alot of useful stuff and I would only have asked for $50k or $100k.
Now that’s a bargain!

Frank Raines was testifying before congressional committees when it was made manifest the books weren't right. They had to go back 5 years just to get an idea how bad it was. What happened after that was really irrelevant because Fannie and Freddie were broke. How can you lie about the books for 5 years and not go to jail? Then to make things worse, Obama brings him on as an adviser. Ken Lay would have died in prison over less.

I'm just saying Newt had to work when he left office and worked many more places than just Freddie. Newt has many flaws as well as the others, but let's not get lost in trivia and lose the winner against the antichrist. I can just hear the Obama-Romney debate as they discuss the death panel in Mass against the death panel in DC. Some babies deserve to die and anal sex can be good if you just hold your nose. I don't think there's a dime's worth of difference between Romney and Obama and I KNOW Newt would be better. Cain doesn't know where Libya is and Perry, well, let's just say we can't afford brain freeze on national TV. All would be better than Obama, but I've heard Newt speak and there will be chortles from chuckles when that happens.

LOL do you know how many times I have ask why jorge bush did nothing about franklin raines. He made a deal with him to make more bogus loans. It was not until after jorge left off that the justice depart make raines pay a fine. All the years George could have brought raines upon charges newtie was getting a pay check. Do you think that may have had something to do with it.
