I don’t sense the gratitude, the happiness level, the thrill of being president. Bill Clinton loved being president every minute and you knew it.

I have commented on this before. There is an intangible but very important role for the president that I just call "being the president." Reagan and Clinton both loved to "be the president," and they were both good in that role. Being the president means being positive about America, comforting her when bad things happen, being the cheerleader for us up or down. This role doesn't mean pushing any particular legislation, it is the baby kissing, championship team congratulating, turkey pardoning, space shuttle disaster mourning intangibles the Americans need to do collectively, so our president stands in for us.

Obama has absolutely no skills in being the president. He avoids this so much we wonder if he wants to be president at all. Maybe he doesn't, which actually, is fine. Not everyone is suited for it.

Prediction: The joint press conference with Bill Clinton where Clinton took over the whole interview will be historically seen as the beginning of the end of his presidency.

Obama doesn't want to be President, my best guess is he wants to King of the world. We are so passe don't you see, utterly boring in fact, and definitely contemptible. We are merely a stepping stone to be trod underfoot on the way to the highest position, the only one worthy of such a man, which must be no less than King of the world. Even better and the the ultimate quest to be the new Christ, worshiped by the masses, who will either worship or simply be done away with. Whatever, the important thing is to be lifted up on high, to be worshiped and to indulge!
