I support Cain too. He isn’t good at the dog and pony talent shows but I think he is the right guy at the right time. He isn’t perfect but Newt and Romney have a history of political behavior that I don’t trust.

Romney seems to always have one foot on the dock and one in the boat. He seems to be afraid of taking a strong stand on anything.

Newt is the smartest one in the crowd but his partnering with Pelosi on GW and a few other things just leave me disappointed. However, I do get a smile when he slams back when the media asks dumb questions.

FWIW, I got a recorded plea for money from Newt at 8:56 p.m. last night.

what the national polls don’s show is that Newt is picking up a lot of his support from .. Romney supporters in states Romney was winning easy before.

Cain is still sitting pretty is nearly all the states he was leading in a few weeks ago, but Mitt is suddenly in 2nd or has Newt right on his heals in states Mitt had locked up just 2 weeks ago.

The RinoCracy and the MSM...doing their best to deliver a Soviet-Style Politburo election...with only “approved” candidates on the ballot.

Wake up people: A vote for Cain is a vote for Obama.

Anyone can do that, but it doesn't make it true.

Wow, what a great post! /sarc

I don't think most people want to replace an arrogant unqualified African American with an angry unqualified African American.

Just heard on Frank Beckmann ( 50,000 blow-torch WJR AM ) that Romney is up 68% to 20% over Oboingo in a State of MI poll.

Michiganders need to step away from the TV, the Snacks , and the "Spartans" and "Wolverines".

This is all because Mittens is a native guy. Barf, and I live here.....

It is depressing.

Both are RINOs, though they are smart debaters and would not embarrass GOP.

I feel Perry and Cain would have high likelyhood of self-destruction in State Media interrogation or in debate against the teleprompter. Bachmann is a bit better, but has had too many serious gaffes. Maybe second look for Santorum..

Why it is so difficult to find a decent conservative running who can give intelligent answers when needed?

I know people defend their candidates (”it wasn’t gaffe..here is the proof”). You could say as easily that Gerald Ford’s statement that there is no Soviet domination in Eastern Europe was true (after all, they had their own parlaments etc). Still, gaffe is a gaffe.

‘The fix is in - the GOP/DNC establishment is going to ram Romney down the throats of conservatives, particularly those stupid enough to remain in the GOP.’

It is very disheartening to fight these criminals. Vote your conscious not for the lesser of two evils.

Herman Cain is immensely more qualified than Obama ever thought about being. He has actuallly run and turned around major US corporations. He understands the economy and understans how health care fits into that equation.

He would be very good for the nation in that regard.

In addition he has had to pull together large and diverse teams of people to solve those problems and make that happen which he will have to do as CIC. His supporters believe he will be able to do that at the national level.

He is a very conservative and honest man. He is angry about the way this country is being raped and pillaged by a bunch of progressive/marxists. That could be more classified as rightous indignation and it is well founded. If folks aren’t indignant and a little angry at the fact that our nation, our liberty, our constitution and way of life are being destroyed before our very eyes...then they haven’t been watching and, IMHO, need to get in the game.

He is certainly not perfect...no candidate is. But most of us trust him to do what is right, and when he makes a mistake to admit it, correct it and move forward.

Anyhow, my point is, they’d best not count him out. I believe he is still right there and may surprise people in Iowa. If he does, then I believe South Carolina is certainly in play as well.

As the late and great Michigan talk show host Mark Scott used to say:

It's not hard at all, we found him, and his name is Herman Cain.

The media could make Einstein look like an idiot with some selective editing on an interview, and the sexual harassment lies are meaningless to anyone with even half a brain.

After months and months early on listening to the MSM and various polls claim that Romney was the clear Republican candidate, why am I not surprised that after Cain's surge in popularity they are now telling us the vote is split ... between Romney and Gingrich! If it wasn't so sad it would be funny. I'll stick with Cain. The GOP can go pound sand.

Actually, you couldn’t be more wrong. If Newt wins Iowa & then turns around & wins N.H., which according to the last poll is a possibilty (still scratching my head on that one), then Mitt will be effectively finished. It’s highly unlikely he could survive a loss to Newt in N.H.

Mitt would have a tough time in the southern primaries vs. Newt, a southerner.

I like Cain, but he has a problem.

Initial 999 was great, but he has to offer intelligent comments to other problems too. Taleban in Libya is gaffe (similar to Ford’s No Soviet domination in EE - for both you could try to make arguments but it does not really change the truth). Typically he simply says he would ask his advisors.

I believe he is smart and would be able to get up to date on foreign policy and other important issues. He or his advisors simply chose not to. Instead, after FL poll win, he went to book signing tour on some far away states.

CEO cannot face investors or board unprepared. Same applies for POTUS candidate. He should have locked in a hotel room with John Bolton or other senior expert and get up to date. 2 days would probably have been enough. Now he has been on national TV few times already clearly showing he is not up to date. That perception is extremely difficult to change.

This was a choice not to get up to date on important issues.

Uh, no. A vote for Newt Gingrich is a vote for Newt Gingrich. A difficult concept I know, but if you study it long enough you'll catch on.

It takes a smart man to realize that he doesn't know everything, only a fool thinks they are an expert in everything.

Cain is not privy to classified intelligence, how is he suppose to know the answers to many of these questions when he doesn't have all the information. I have full faith and confidence that Cain will only make decisions after he has examined all the available evidence (including classified information) and has consulted with the appropriate experts.

Take Afghanistan for instance... it's easy for someone who only gets their information from the newspapers to jump to a conclusion on what we should do... but what if there is a wealth of classified information that is not reported, maybe the government there is doing the best it can with the situation it is in... maybe it is secretly working with us all the time, but publicly condemns us, because it has to in order to remain in power..

these are the kind of things that you can't have answers to at the moment, and a smart man (like Cain) knows this.

But if you feel better having someone tell you what they would do without knowing all the facts, then go right ahead.

But don't be surprised if after they take office they suddenly have an unexplained change of heart.

If you live in a liberal state that was a likely early Romney win like New Hampshire... feel free to vote for Newt. A loss in New Hampshire would completely destroy Romney’s chances and frankly Cain never had a chance there but a RINO like Newt might be able to pull off an upset there and places like California.

But if you live in Iowa, South Carolina, or Florida I beg you to vote for the conservative in the race with a chance, Cain.
