I’ve been here 28 years and this is my first Thanksgiving here. Things are just too unstable for me to be gone 2 weeks. And now this really cold weather made the decision more right. My friend said she wondered when this day would come.

Most of the office got off at noon, but today is check day. I got out of there about 2:30. I had planned to take Friday off, but this week is 2 days short and I need all those days. I’ll go in on Friday for a few hours, maybe about 10a, and get done what I need so Monday won’t be so horrible. I brought my alphabetizing home tonight, and will still work timesheets on the weekend. My new regimen seems to be working out pretty well.

Are you having more than family? Your Mom? Father-in-law? Friends? Turkey?

My Mom chose ham...I got a spiral cut one...she said I did good. LOL!

Spiral cut ham is a very good idea. Easy to prepare & yummy.

We’re just having FIL over today. We got him out of rehab on Tuesday. He’s still very weak but doing a bit better. Just got off the phone with Mom & she’s got a virus so she called of Thanksgiving dinner at her house til next week.

I’m putting the turket in the oven in about 30 minutes. It’s a small bird so it won’t take too long.
