Gingrich May Have Inside Track on Palin's Endorsement
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/ ^

Almost immediately upon Sarah Palin's announcement that she would not seek the Republican nomination for president, the phone calls from almost all of the GOP candidates began pouring in. They wanted her endorsement.

While Palin has characteristically kept her cards close to her chest, advisers suggest that the 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee is likely to endorse before someone emerges as the inevitable nominee -- and that Newt Gingrich appears to be best-positioned to secure her support

as long as Cain, Michele, & Santorum are alive in Iowa, I doubt we will see an endorsement of anyone cuz she doesn’t want to be seen as finishing off their campaigns.

After IA on Jan 3rd and NH when the race is reduced to Newt Mitt ronPaul and maybe Perry ... she sure ain’t endorsing ronPaul or Mitt. And Perry, doubtful he ever gets over 15% in SC.

“After Newts Immigration comment in the last debate, I don’t see her getting behind him.”

Typical bandwagon/pile on comment.

Now Newt goes everywhere in the media (they smell blood in the water, when it's actually cat nip) explaining his ideas on solving our border/immigration problems. He garners votes for securing the border. He secures Hispanic votes for his sensible approach to the resident illegal immigrant problem.

Controversial? Yes. When better to broach it than when you are on top in the polls and have time to explain your positions? Brilliant strategic move by Newt and the press thinks it's a misstep. LOL.

Newt’s comments were spot on. This problem has been going on for 30 years plus. No administration has tackled the problem including Reagan.

He needs the hispanic vote. Blank check? No, but there needs to be some common sense here.

... Washington insider who believes that we must take urgent action to stop global warming.

That is completely untruthful, and you know it.

Newt absolutely opposes “cap and trade” as well as any system of taxing carbon emissions. He testified before Congress against it in 2009 and led a grassroots effort while the Chairman of American Solutions to block its passage in the House and Senate.

Hiya campaignPete R-CT!!!

I don’t know who she will endorse or if she will endorse and that’s entirely her decision.

If I had to guess I would say Newt Gingrich or Rick Perry, and I’m only guessing.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!

Great job on the image!

Yes, this reminds me of the long months of speculation over whether she would run or not. Many were wrong about that.

IMHO, Sarah Palin, Kingmaker, will indeed endorse a Non-Romney candidate before the Iowa caucus.

I'll take care of the landscaping. That used to be the domain of teen age boys and Japanese men.

The problem we have in America right now is that the illegals are taking all the manufacturing and construction jobs that used to be the backbone of the middle class.

That being said, Newt's approach is realistic. It doesn't differ that much from Sarah Palin except that Sarah Palin supports the "path to citizenship" approach and Newt has ruled that out.

If Sarah endorses Gingrich, she’s not the conservative I once believed her to be. I hope she’s not just trying to hitch here wagon to Gingrich in hopes of a slot in his administration.

THE REAL NEWT GINGRICH!
If you’re a Newt supporter, let me hear your FACTUAL refutation of Jack’s riveting 30 minute presentation at the link below...and don’t come back with some garbage about “those Birchers.”
Those crazy old Birchers have been TRYING to tell you where we were headed for 50+ years and all they got was smeared and made “radioactive” by the same FRINGE MEDIA that remains in the tank for Obozo BECAUSE HE’S IMPLEMENTING THEIR STATIST AGENDA! Most of those we tried to warn about what was coming LAUGHED. Most of them have STOPPED LAUGHING – but they’re STILL sitting on their asses.

Are there any questions concerning the veracity or political orientation of the media or where we’re going to wind up unless more folks get busy?

Didn’t think so!

After Newts Immigration comment in the last debate, I don’t see her getting behind him.

Do you think they all should be deported?
There is no way that in the US we would roundup every illegal immigrant there are about 12 million of the illegal immigrants not only economically is that just an impossibility but that's not a humane way anyway to deal with the issue that we face with illegal immigration.

....To clarify, so you support a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants?
I do because I understand why people would want to be in America. To seek the safety and prosperity, the opportunities, the health that is here. It is so important that yes, people follow the rules so that people can be treated equally and fairly in this country.

You might be shocked. How many illegals that have established themselves for many years have been deported to date? Surprise!!!!!! What Newt suggested is happening right now without Government control. I have a couple of them right next to me. And they are very nice people. They have a couple of noisy kids but have learned their bad behavior from guess who.

If Palin endorses Newt, then she is history in my book just like Rush who has been endorsing him since Perry and Cain went sour. Newt should not even be in Washington IMO. he has enough of my hard earned money already.

Like I have said before, anyone who makes a choice based on a another persons endorsement is not a free thining individual. Endorsements mean sqaut to me, and I would never make a choice based one another persons opinion. For those that do, there are many bridges to choose from, just make sure the water is deep enough.
