it’s still amnesty.

A pardon? I suppose if you think a $5000 penalty is amnesty.

“A pardon? I suppose if you think a $5000 penalty is amnesty.”

$5000 is trivial to an illegal who just spent $5000 to a coyote to smuggle him across the border, or to someone who has been illegally working in the USA for 25 years and collecting tens of thousands of dollars in welfare, education, and medical benefits and cash.

That’s exactly what it is.

How about THIS approach: if you ever cross our border illegally, you are PERMANENTLY disbarred from ever seeking legal entry. Breaking our laws should be more severe than a penalty the next Administration will waive. It should be more than going to the back of the line.

It should be: no soup for you.

Yes, your so-called fine IS amnesty.
