Sheriff Joe Arpaio, the sheriff of Maricopa County, Ariz., who calls himself “America’s Toughest Sheriff,” will endorse Texas Gov. Rick Perry next week, a source with knowledge of the endorsement told ABC News.
Arpaio espouses a hard-line stance on illegal immigration, leading raids to round up and jail illegal immigrants, and was a major proponent of the controversial Arizona immigration law. Perry has spoken with Arpaio several times over the phone since entering the presidential race.
Arpaio, a much sought after endorsement in the GOP field, plans to campaign with Perry in New Hampshire next week, the source said. The Texas governor will be in the Granite State Tuesday and Wednesday, holding three town halls and a breakfast at the Nashua Chamber of Commerce along with speaking at the New Hampshire State House...

There is another study that says that the in-state tuition program is a revenue boost to (primarily) community colleges. Without it, the illegals wouldn’t go to school at all, and the schools get zip. A 2007 Texas legislative study says it is a $3 million bump (so basically revenue neutral). A 2010 study says it’s greater than $10 million revenue boom.
Doesn’t matter, though. After you’re all finishing off Newt for not subscribing to narrow nativist immigration ideology, You’ll all be voting for Romney in 2012 because he’ll be the last one standing, untouched. You’re too busy beating down the better candidates while Romney smooth sails to the nomination. I am sure that is the intention, right?

I was talking this Thanksgiving to a relative who is a state patrol officer here in Texas. I asked him about his mandatory two week trip to the border to patrol and assist the border patrol and how it went.
Understand it was just him in his patrol vehicle patrolling the dark lonely highways along the border. He said he turned over 18 illegals to the border patrol in two weeks. He told me to let everyone know what they are doing down there.
This is action. This is an officer that could be back in the town he is from patrolling there but it's part of Perry's 400 million he talks about trying to pick up the slack from the Obama administration.
That is happening every day down there.
Remember the Texas/Mexico border is all our border. The Border Patrol we all pay for but the state patrol is paid for by local taxpayers. Perry will secure that border and he's the only candidate who knows what he's talking about on this issue because he's walked the walk.
