The letter from evangelical Iowa
Iowa radio host Steve Deace held a focus group with some of the states evangelical voters on Monday night. The full show airs later today, but some of the initial analysis warrants attention:
--The #1 reason why there are so many undecided voters is because nobody believes the candidates other than Mitt Romney are actually playing to win, and conservatives don't want Romney. Newt Gingrich has started to ascend because he's looked at as being an assertive leader, and voters want to see similar assertiveness from other candidates.
--The group liked Gingrich's boldness, but given all his personal baggage they still don't trust him yet.
--The group gets almost none of its information from the mainstream media, so what it says about the candidates is basically irrelevant.
--Rick Perry and Herman Cain are toast.
And the kicker:
--Most of the group believed Gingrich will win the Caucuses, but would prefer that either Bachmann or Santorum wins.

Just another Tel-evangelical con man trying to pimp his 10th rate radio show
Surely these are voices from above......(sarcasm)
In other words, Deace's group is not at all representative.
In 2008, Deace had the drive time show on WHO radio after Rush Limbaugh. No more.
Right, because we all know evangelicals have no right to participate in the democratic process and have no 1st amendment rights to express their opinions on the same. Attempting to do so makes them "self appointed pharisees" and less than Holy. They should be arrested or something. /s
This statement is so ridiculous, it makes the rest of the article of almost no value.
Deace is 100% kook—he voted for Obama and he wants the world to believe he is the best Christian—ever!!
That’s a lie and anyone saying so is kooky. Just because
he speaks the truth about your candidate’s (Perry?) statements
does not give you permission to lie.
You seem to have left out some vital info. friend.
He left his former show at his request and is now back
on the same station, WHO.
Did he say something about your candidate you didn’t
like? I’m guessing yes. Cain maybe?
“..—Rick Perry and Herman Cain are toast..”
Interesting that the evangelical voters don’t support the most and only evangelical candidate - Perry.
Conservatives have of course not trusted Deace since he campaigned for Huckster in 2008. He gave up the hugely rated slot after Rush. Another smart move, wasn’t it?
Conservatives don’t trust him? That’s baloney, is that why his ratings
were so high in the afternoon?
You don’t speak for conservatives, just yourself. I certainly don’t
agree with everything he says, but listen to what liberals say about
him.
Again, I’m sure he said something about your candidate you
did not like. What was it?
Huckabee and Deace were no conservatives. That is a fact, whether you like it or not.
Nonsense. I know several very conservative people who voted for Huckabee at the last caucus, but they have different criteria than you do. Huck is much more conservative than Romney or McCain.
Our choices then, just like now are not good.
One last thing. You are attacking Deace for just reporting what others are telling him at the focus group. That tells me a lot about you and its not good.
Well, excuse me, Deace DID vote for Obama and he not only talked about it on his show, he also spent a whole long rant on election day 2008 explaining why he was voting for Obama.
Baloney. I’ve been listening to him for 15 years. If he even said it, which I doubt, it was sarcasm.
This is no joke. Deace did vote for Obama and he bragged about it but then, he's smarter and a better Christian than the rest of us, so he's entitled.
Deace hasn’t been on the air for 15 years, that I know of.
And they also have the right to be roundly ridiculed and laughed at.
Darkness always hates light, evil always laughs at good.
