You think your candidate knows $hit about anything other than some foreign policy? He is a grumpy prig, and that is why he is 3 percent.

I do not expect a Candidate to be all knowing about everything, and nobody but an idiot does. That is why we hire people to do the job.

Please repost on EVERY Cain thread on FR today.

Here is more, with a link:

From Lolly Winne, a well-known Cain volunteer:

“I was on a conference call at 11:15am this morning with Herman Cain himself, where he explained to us that, once again, the accusations against him are COMPLETELY FALSE. He ALSO explained that he is NOT considering dropping out of the campaign, despite what the media is reporting. The campaign is moving forward as planned. Additionally, he shared that Ginger White WAS a friend of his (and his wife’s) and she was a struggling unemployed single mom who received several eviction notices due to being unable to pay her rent. So being the good man that he is, Mr. Cain helped her out financially as a FRIEND, as he has done for other friends in the past.”

When asked what the reassessment was about - Winne replied, “I was on the call, I did not hear the words “REASSESS THE CAMPAIGN”, I heard, ‘we need to assess the situation (the damage) over the next couple of days and continue to MOVE FORWARD.’ He said NOTHING about considering to drop out. He didn’t even INSINUATE it.”

I would like my candidate to be at least as fluent in major issues of the day as the average FReeper. Feel free to lower your standards, I’m not.

Why don’t you put out the actual transcript of the call and let people decide for themselves what Cain said?

The harassment charges didn’t stick, so they ratcheted up the attack one step with an “actual” affair.

Next step will be someone accusing him of murder.

They’re going to keep throwing these accusations around like mud until something finally sticks. There is no way Obama could win with Cain as the GOP nominee.

Class about what? If you can not be as honest as Cain himself on the fact that he has no idea what he is talking about on foreign policy, you are no different than the Obummer sycophants that think his bowl movements don’t stink:

Cain admits it is not his strong point, nor needs to be. G.W. Bush didn't know squat about it either.

Meanwhile Newt, who know everything about it, manages to say godawaful things like "we can sabotage Iranian facilities, take out scientists...all covert and DENIABLE". Unreal that he would say such a thing on a public mic. the height of irresponsibility. And that's the problem with Newt. Big brain, low maturity, lower morality.

I like Herman Cain but this accusation BS is really starting to rattle my strong support.

I don't like Cain at all, but I'm baffled by the many here who believed in him without good reason and now abandon him without good reason.

What happened to the concept of "innocent until proven guilty?"

A woman of very dubious background has accused him with no convincing evidence. One court has adjudged her a stalker; six landlords have found her to be a deadbeat tenant; she herself claims to be a slut of some thirteen years' experience. Yet diehard Cain supporters are jumping off the train at her signal. It makes no sense to me.

On FR, it’s both.

Denial, blame, acceptance. It looks as though dealing with defeat, as with death, have similarities.

I like Herman Cain too.

But wonder if these allegations might have been avoided or revealed sooner, if Cain had first held elective office as a Senator or Governor.

He ran for the Senate and they didn’t take this much interest in him. Allen West got elected and they hated him a great deal, but didn’t put all their resources into it. It’s the Presidency.

Here is what he is thinking. Quote apparently from Cain from the conference call this morning:

“Obviously, you’re all aware of this recent firestorm that hit the news yesterday,” Cain began, his voice somber. “First thing I want to do is say to you what I have said publicly: I deny those charges, unequivocally. Secondly, I have known this lady for a number of years. And thirdly, I have been attempting to help her financially because she was out of work and destitute, desperate. So, thinking that she was a friend — and I have helped many friends — I now know that she wasn’t the friend that I thought she was. But it was a just a friendship relationship.”

“That being said, obviously, this is cause for reassessment,” he continued. “As you know, during the summer we had to make some reassessments based upon our financial situation. We were able to hang in there; we reassessed the situation and kept on going. We also did a reassessment after the Iowa straw poll and we made another reassessment after the Florida straw poll. When the previous two accusations, false accusations, came about, we made another assessment. The way we handled those was, we continued on with our schedule. We made an assessment about what was going to happen to our support. But our supporters, and even some folks that we didn’t have as supporters, they stood with us, and they showed it not only in terms of their verbal support, they showed it in terms of their dollars.”

“Now, with this latest one, we have to do an assessment as to whether or not this is going to create too much of a cloud, in some people’s minds, as to whether or not they would be able to support us going forth,” Cain said.

“Over the next several days, we are going to continue with the schedule as usual,” he said. “I’ve got a major speech tonight at Hillsdale College on national security and foreign policy, and I will deliver it with vim, vigor, and enthusiasm. And then tomorrow we’ve got some media appearances scheduled. So we’re going to continue until we complete our assessment over the next several days.”

“But if a decision is made, different than to plow ahead, you all will be the first to know,” he said. “So until that time, I want to continue to thank you all for your support, thank you for your prayers. It’s taken an emotional toll, but the people in the audience tonight will never know it.”

“It’s also taken a toll on my wife and family, as you would imagine,” he concluded. “Any time you put another cloud of doubt, unfortunately, in the court of public opinion, for some people, you’re guilty until proven innocent. And so, the public will have to decide whether they believe her or whether they believe me. That’s why we’re going to give it time, to see what type of response we get from our supporters.”

Great to hear FaceBook is full of support after this new liar has been trotted out. There is no shortage of evil liars out there. Why anyone believes them is beyond me. It’s pretty simple, Evil hates Good, so Evil attacks Good. It’s up to us to see the evil doers for what they are.

This might mean “an assessment” of exactly how much bonafide proof the lady has, and who might be waiting in the wings with yet another allegation.
