It seems to me that the situation in Iran for the leadership is getting so precarious that they feel the need for an outside bogieman to distract and unify the Persians.

Too bad the UK mothballed all of its carriers and the new ones they are building will not be ready until 2015 and 2017. That first one will have no aircraft because the F-35C JSF will not be ready for them until 2017 or so.
They have messed themselves all over due to libs cutting their defense budget and acquisitions down beyond the bone.
Sad day to see a once great and strong ally reduced to this...they do have their nuclear subs...and they do have a few that can shoot Tomohawks.

ALL civilized* nations should close all Iranian embassies and consultates, and expel everyone with any association with the govt. of Iran.
That’s the sort of thing that should have been done promptly 32 yrs ago when the scumbags took over the US embassy and created the “hostage crisis” -— protection of embassies and diplomats should be among the most fundamental bright red lines.
When Iran crosses that line the repercussions should be severe not minor.
