Perhaps GB should add some things to Iran after withdrawing their staff.

The sort of things that cause increases in thermal activity.

“The sort of things that cause increases in thermal activity.”

There’s a type of behavior called “permission giving.” If a 90 year old woman robs a bank, then there will be a spat of elderly women robbing banks. If a lovelorn 13 year of girl writes a love note and kills herself, then there will be a spat of really young people writing love notes and killing themselves. The same holds true among nations. Germany used poison gas; so the allies used poison gas. In the next war, everybody had poison gas on standby, but nobody used it. That’s because nobody wanted to deal with the consequences, but they were ready and waiting “permission. “

Right now there’s a moral hold on using nuclear weapons. But once it’s broken, they will be used profligately. Pakistan and India might fight border skirmishes daily, but when one is pressed to the wall (by whatever means) and they use nuclear weapons, then look for those weapons to be used world-wide.

Pakistan and North Korea are being held back only by the undefined fear of what being the first to use such weapons might mean. In truth, probably a strongly worded letter from the President and sanctions from the UN. Once Pakistan and North Korea, and everybody developing those weapons, realize that there effectively isn’t any penalty, they will be used widely. Expect, for example, Syria to use their first weapon not on Israel, but on Syrian rebels. Does anybody doubt that Gadhafi wouldn’t have used nukes to save himself?

Personally, I wouldn’t even use the threat in jest, even as a private citizen; let alone “the bombing starts in five minutes.” The more the body politic speaks of using such force on Iran (or others) the more permission they will feel when they finally have the bomb.

Thanx. I just saw this...

“A statement issued in Berlin informs that Germany has recalled its ambassador to Tehran for talks following an attack on the British embassy yesterday. London had previously closed the embassy and withdrawn all staff from Iran also ordering the Iranian Embassy in London to close and expelling all staff “within 48 hours.” Although not a member of the European Union, Norway has closed its embassy in Tehran as a sign of solidarity. . .”

I agree with you. Once the stigma is removed, the world is in extreme danger. I don’t know if there would be any difference between India and Pakistan using them on each other or NATO nations using them against Iran. Either way, the notion of “weapon of last resort” will no longer be in place and the world will be forever changed in a very dangerous way.

I think once all of their people are out they should destroy their embassy - maybe with a sub-launched nuke.

Is the US planning on bugging out, too? Or is Barry still the mullahs’ flavor of the month?

Does appear things are shaping up for taking out irans nuke sites.....Israel has increased missles on her borders this past week though press is pretty quiet on that.

Tensions esculate now more than usual...watch too for many diplomates to be flying about for talks etc. that too esculates when tensions increase as we’re seeing...back door chats as well.

"Once the stigma is removed,..."

Nukes have already been used in combat - twice.

Does Britain even have jurisdiction and legal authority to remove people from the English Embassy?

“Does Britain even have jurisdiction and legal authority to remove people from the English Embassy?”

You mean to order people out of the Iranian embassy in London?

Yes

Agreed. But they haven’t been used since and it was after several years of conventional war. Next time, it may be the opening salvo.

...Seems France is doing the same, I think? Maybe Israel will have some support now for their problems in the Muslim world. G-d knows they won't get it from us, while BHO, the Coward in Chief we're stuck with is in office!
