Despite allegations that the Republican presidential hopeful had a 13-year affair with a Georgia woman, some -- including rival Newt Gingrich, firebrand conservative Ann Coulter, talk show host Whoopi Goldberg and an Arizona state senator -- all say the former Godfather's Pizza CEO should continue his bid for the White House.

"No, he's not disqualified," Gingrich told CBS News on Tuesday. The former House speaker, whose past infidelities have long been public, said he thinks Cain has "the right to get back in the game."

Coulter challenged the credibility of Cain's alleged mistress, Ginger White. "He's got to continue only because of this crazy allegation," Coulter told HLN's Joy Behar. "The reason I say it's crazy is that this woman is like a combo platter of everything that is unbelievable in an accuser."

Goldberg, Behar's fellow host on "The View," said Monday on the program that Cain’s private life shouldn’t be relevant. The comedian added that she would trust a person in office who was unfaithful to their spouse, "as long as you're not boning the country."

Cain's also getting backing from at least one elected official. Lori Klein, an Arizona state senator and Cain's state chairman, told CBS News that she's known Cain for 12 years and he's "never been anything but a gentleman -- and I am not an unattractive woman."

Amazing, how many are so very short-sighted on this board. In hopes of securing the nomination for their candidate, they loudly echo the propaganda and the ever-changing standards of left/MSM. And the question to the misquided becomes---where will you look for support when the left/MSM defames your candidate by whatever expedient standard will serve their purpose?

Stand by Mr. Cain. Let him rise or fall on his merits. Tell the left/media to go to Haites. Do this for the sake of your candidate and constitutional conservatives.

The backgrounds of all of these bimbos is unraveling as we speak (as reported by ABC.) It is interesting to note that the attacks almost always occur on Friday (for aging over the weekend), and an occurence about every two weeks, or when the latest unproven story to die down. I hope Cain stays in the race.

Bubba Clinton “allegedly” raped a woman and, while he was AR governor, he dropped his pants and told Paula Jones to “kiss it”. Jones later settled a lawsuit against Clinton and was awarded $800K. And Clinton became President.

So why can’t Herman Cain become President.

This is absolutely true. None of the accusers have provided anything substantial yet Cain is held to a standard that he has to provide substantial evidence to disprove essentially "nothing".

While driving cross country it was painful to hear the conservative talking heads condemn him because there were "five accusers now". None of them defended him, they are all in love with Newt now.

You didn’t expect Newt would condemn him, did you?

Newt’s a pro. He knows that condemning Cain himself would be a potentially dangerous proposition. Instead he has thousands of sycophants to do it for him while he keeps his hands clean.

Because he's a true tea party candidate and nobody in DC wants that to happen.

I still can’t get my head around how, in the throws of fighting and undergoing treatment for cancer, Herman had the time or energy for an affair? The latest one says 13 year affair that ended 8 months ago... he’s 5 years free of cancer... do the math, it just doesn’t add up.

Just wondering...???...

It's certainly enough not to rush to judgment.

“So why can’t Herman Cain become President.”

Because he maxed out at 25-30% of Republicans and has lost ground since then. At this point, it someone isn’t already a supporter, they aren’t going to become one. First, they have to make a judgement call that all the women are lying, and Cain is telling the truth. That isn’t made any easier by the mixed messages coming from the Cain camp, and Cain himself. Then hey have to be willing to hear about it and defend him for the next year, while hoping nothing else comes out. Finally they have to decide that his ideas are so much better than any other candidate that it’s worth it to support him. That’s too steep a hill for the undecided voter to climb.

I’ll say it again; I don’t believe a single on of these accusations and in my opinion every one of these women has a financial axe to grind. I think they were offered a good lump of money to make these accusations knowing that Mr. Cain would not be in a position during a campaign to follow up and sue the holy crap out of them. I think these women have been told take the money, keep your mouths shut and the Ostupid campaign will take care of you later. This is not going to work with me; I refuse to have my candidate picked by the lieing media or the DNC. I am also tired of people like Rove and the other so called conservative pundits trying to set me up with one of their business as usual, it’s his turn candidates. I am on the Cain train and I am going to stay there.
