So why not Palin? It could be argued that she needs him, too.

It could be better argued that Palin definitely does NOT need Romney.

If either Romney or Obama win in 2012, Alaska will definitely be the last frontier refuge for Americans.

Cold? Don't worry about that. The flames and embers from the defunct USA mainland will create enough global warming to turn Alaska into a tropical paradise, complete with banana and orange groves.

Bull crap, Palin has no interest in endorsing a lobbyist and an amnesty pusher like newt. Never going to happen.

Calling someone a lobbyist (or even comparing what they do to what lobbyists do) does not make them a lobbysist. It is a regulated profession.

Romney for Obama in 2008

Late in October, The American Spectator's The Prowler revealed:
"Former Mitt Romney presidential campaign staffers…
have been involved in spreading anti-Palin spin to reporters, seeking to diminish her standing after the election.
'Sarah Palin is a lightweight, she won't be the first, not even the third, person people will think of when it comes to 2012,'
says one former Romney aide…
'The only serious candidate ready to challenge to lead the Republican Party is Mitt Romney.
"Some former Romney aides were behind the recent leaks to media, including CNN, that Governor Sarah Palin was a 'diva' and was going off message intentionally."

The Palmetto Scoop reported: "One of the first stories to hit the national airwaves was
the claim of a major internal strife between close McCain aides and the folks handling his running mate Sarah Palin."
"I’m told by very good sources that this was indeed the case and that a rift had developed, but it was between Palin’s people and the staffers brought on from the failed presidential campaign of former Gov. Mitt Romney, not McCain aides."
"The sources said nearly 80 percent of Romney’s former staff was absorbed by McCain and these individuals were responsible for what amounts to a premeditated, last-minute sabotage of Palin."
… aides loyal to Romney inside the McCain campaign, said The Scoop, reportedly saw
that Palin would be a serious contender for the Republican nomination in 2012 or 2016, which made her a threat to another presidential quest by Romney.

"These staffers are now out trying to finish her off ….hoping it would ingratiate themselves with Mitt Romney."

"Who's the Palin Leaker from the McCain Campaign?
National Review Online The publication of a Vanity Fair profile of Sarah Palin
appears to have opened old wounds in the McCain campaign.
... the source of the “Diva” leak was Nicolle Wallace’s husband."

"Peeking Out From the McCain Wreckage: Mitt Romney"

"Someone's got to say it: IS MITT ROMNEY RESPONSIBLE FOR OBAMA'S VICTORY?"

"Vanity: Team Romney Sabotaged Palin and Continuing to Do So?"

"Romney Supporters Trashing Palin"

"Romney advisors sniping at Palin?"

Well, we agree on half of that.

As Romney’s “last man standing” strategy seems to be crumpling as recent state polls show him and his favorability inching downward ever so slowly, there is something particularly rich about the scenario of him becoming twitchingly desperate for a Palin endorsement. Especially after all those knives his operatives have systematically been jabbing her in the back these past three years.

The only candidate whom Palin previously has endorsed, I believe, is Perry in his most recent re-election bid. But I doubt Perry can mount a comeback, even if Palin WERE inclined to endorse him for the presidency.

My guess is Palin will not endorse until the result of the nomination process is pretty obvious.

I really doubt that Palin is going to jump on the Mitt bandwagon. Unless, God forbid, he manages to get the nomination. And even then I think her support would be grudging.

I agree. These guys all suck.

The wise thing for Sarah to do is the same as us - let the process play out, hold her nose and support the winner.

In what universe is Romney on any conservative voter’s preferred candidate list, let alone in the #2 spot?

Romney is in the #2 spot as in "I gotta go #2".

You're right. Newt is an unregistered, unprincipled influence peddler who sells out to the highest bidder.

Palin won’t endorse either idiot. She has nothing to gain.

Yes, after the RNC / GOP did nothing to defend her and her family for the last 3 years, if she gave them the metaphorical "up yours" it would suit me just fine.

After what is being done to Herman Cain, I am leaning more and more to writing her in.

After reading the Romney bots were in the McLame Camp and long knifed her at the end of that campaign, no way am I voting for Willard...
