What can they do? Without definitive proof that Israel is behind the attacks what can Iran do? Besides, Iran knows they look weak if they admit that deep within their country at their most heavily guarded sites explosions are happening and they are unable to stop them.

Iran is teetering on the brink of a revolution. Remember all the riots a year or two back when the government hiked the heavily-subsidized gasoline prices (equivalent to less than US$0.40 per gallon) a few cents).

The Israelis launching air strikes are one thing. Having their country so heavily infiltrated by the Mossad - to the point where heavily guarded military facilities are being taken out seemingly with impunity - is entirely another.

If the Ayatollahs and Imanutjob were to admit that sort of thing the already-spun up Iranian public would go absolutely nuts.
