Which brings up all kinds of emotions which conflict with what I know I'm supposed to feel as a christian.
At what point do we get our backs up and protect ourselves?

Maybe William and Kate - who were married in a Christian ceremony at Westminster Abbey could lend support to this crisis. The British public has been absent from regular church attendance in body and spirit since the 1950s - except for weddings, christenings and burials.
As a Christian you can HATE Islam just not hate the individual followers of the false prophet. Those you can feel sorry even if you have to kill them in self-defense.
