This is what....the 3rd time today you’ve accused me of being paid?

It’s a lie. Stop it.

Was I paid all those years I supported and posted for Sarah Palin?

You have posted a lot of half-truths.
Half-truths are by definition LIES.
Not a very ethical thing to do.

I’ll continue to vote for the guy that can actually compete and win.

Newt Gingrich.....

“Results from an American Research Group poll of likely GOP primary voters in Florida: Newt Gingrich (50 percent), Mitt Romney (19 percent), Herman Cain (10 percent), Jon Huntsman (3 percent), Rick Perry and Ron Paul (2 percent), Michele Bachmann, Rick Santorum, and Buddy Roemer (1 percent).”

Talk to Dr. Jack Wheeler who is one of the top TRUE conservatives in the country...Wheeler doesn’t not lie. Ask Rush about Newtie...both have never been proven to be liars.

Yes, when the government shut down due to a budget impasse, the MSM blamed it on Newt.

Certainly Newt did force the issue - he was willing to shut down the federal government rather than go along with democrat spending increases. For this reason alone there has never been a bigger set of conservative balls than Newt’s.

And you claim he is not a conservative.

You want “unethical?” Just wait until Newt is the nominee and the MSM start non-stop headlines of how Newt was sleeping with another Rep’s young staffer and that Rep was sleeping with Newt’s staffer, all the while Newt was going after Clinton for lying to Congress/and the Monica affair.

I hope you’re ready. I don’t think I have the stomach for it. But it will happen and then they’ll tick down the list of Newt’s baggage — and it is a long list.

This is what the Tea Party fought for... what we worked for in the 2010 victories......NEWT?

Geezzz..

What exactly does this story have to do with Perry? Nothing. If you are going to use the Perry ping list on stories that merely bash the other candidates, you can take me off. 12 posted on Friday, December 02, 2011 3:03:45 PM by Hugin
Still haven't gotten back to you on that, huh?

Well, be patient. Houston on a Friday afternoon can be hectic. The Perry Support Line is probably just out to lunch.

There is a list going around FR of all the progressive positions Newt has taken. It is long, extensive and deeply troubling, and should give pause to any conservative.

We are all frustrated, but we can’t use the imaginary “perfect” as a stick to beat up the “good”.

I think the saying is:

“Don’t make the perfect the enemy of the good.”

Yes, I did read “conservatives”. I also noted those they attributed the moniker to. Hardly rock bed conservatives in my view. More like country club Republicans in my estimation.

Again, if they were kicking Newt out so that they could govern more conservatively, what happened? Did they accomplish all that they said Newt wasn’t doing, or did they drift waaaay to the middle in order to conserve their power? Hmmm

Newt is far from perfect, but this article is quite disingenuous. Just look at the record of accomplishments between the Newt era & post Newt. The rank hypocrisy of these guys is somewhat stunning to me.

At least he wasn’t “community organizing” and putting on his knee pads for Saul Alinsky and his political progeny.

What is Newt’s lifetime ACU rating? I tried to search for it and even went to conservative.org but so far I can’t find it.

Some people here have said 94%, others have said 90%. It’s a shame ACU doesn’t have a search function.

Newt is a proven mover and shaker - and we need a president who will move in and shake up Washington just like he did as a long-term member of congress when he orchestrated the historic GOP majority and Contract With America. No one else has any sort of track record that indicates they have actually done anything at all similar to ACCOMPLISHING a real SHAKE UP in D.C. with TANGIBLE CONSERVATIVE RESULTS!

You think Newt did this by himself? I think you need to read up some on how much Newt helped and how much he was in the way. What is the saying about turds floating to the top? That's how it is with Newt. The most competent self-promoter in the bowl.

In fact, Newt was very circumspect about the whole Lewinsky thing. He attacked Clinton on many fronts, but not so much on that one.

The domestic partner and I were talking about that very thing this morning.

He remembered how frustrated Newt’s compadres got trying to work with Newt.

I think he has A.D.D. He expounds on a great idea one day and the next day it’s ‘huh, what?’

Don’t get me wrong. If he’s the candidate, he can probably win and I won’t be miserable.

I think he’ll probably make it if he can only keep his mouth shut, but can he?

He says one controversial thing, gets that tamped down and then comes out with something else.

Why can’t he just coast on his already stated positions and not rock the boat?

Why? Because he’s hyper, full of terrific ideas and CAN’T SHUT UP.

He’s my second choice, though, in spite of it all.
